  1. Congrats!!! How do you feel about being a citizen? Thanks for posting a detailed experience. My interview is in about 3 weeks so this helps. Was yours through 5 year rule or marriage to USC?
  2. Happened to me this last Thursday for a few hours, which was weird. Then all good. Oh yeah the new verification code then came from a different number than usual. My guess is they are changing a few things in their system.
  3. For some yeah maybe, but not true for all. Those with 2 year cards must file 751 before N400. Right? No way they can go straight to citizenship. There are others who want nothing to do with N400 so will just take 10 year GCs. I agree though, and it's my conspiracy theory too, that they move N400s faster so more people are out legally and can cast a vote. Immigrants favor democratic party they say but I haven't seen any data.
  4. Thank you, you are very kind with your words! 🙏 I wish you all the best too if your case is still pending.
  5. Yeah, the timeline thing is really weird. Good luck to you, hopefully you get an update soon!!
  6. Thank you 🙏 Hoping the interview goes well so I am done with this nonsense. I hope yours comes to a swift end too!! 😃
  7. Finally some good news! No email or text from USCIS but checked the case status just a few minutes ago and it says: On December 9, 2022, we scheduled an interview for your Form N-400, Application for Naturalization, Receipt Number IOE1234567890. We will mail you an interview notice. Please follow any instructions in the notice. If you move, go to www.uscis.gov/addresschange to give us your new mailing address. I then logged into the USCIS website and it's for Jan 20. So excited for this!! Those who haven't heard back yet, I hope you hear soon!! I applied in April 2022 so took exactly 8 months minus a week.
  8. Well fellas, seems like my interview has been scheduled! No email or text but checked the case status just a few minutes ago and it says: On December 9, 2022, we scheduled an interview for your Form N-400, Application for Naturalization, Receipt Number IOE1234567890. We will mail you an interview notice. Please follow any instructions in the notice. If you move, go to www.uscis.gov/addresschange to give us your new mailing address. I then logged into the USCIS website and it's for Jan 20. Cannot believe that this is happening. Just yesterday, it had 22 days as estimated time to decision and I was thinking yeah right. Btw right now it says 9 months. So excited for this!! Those who haven't heard back yet, I hope you hear soon!!
  9. Congrats!!! Very happy that you got your card! :-)) Now the wait continues on the other form. 🤣
  10. You know, the funny thing is, I KNOW these estimates are hot trash and mean nothing. Yet, being in the helpless situation that we are, I can't help but still hope that the case gets resolved in 30 days. 🤣 I know it's not happening though. My local office has 21 months of processing time & probably nothing will happen until next summer. Anyway, I hope your local office is more efficient than mine and your journey ends soon!
  11. Another useless update: counter is down to 31 days today. Lot of people here have gotten interviews but many are still waiting. How many of you have a counter less than mine and did any of yours run out at zero?
