Summerbrezz07 got a reaction from Dashinka in K1 sent back to NVC / Will Mumbai recognize Utah online marriage?
My husband and I were married via Utah online zoom in 2021. It was accepted and no RFE's during the USCIS and NVC stage.  I will mention with Utah, when you receive the marriage certificate it is a "marriage license and marriage certificate" all in one, so it will have the date you applied for the marriage license and the date of marriage ceremony listed. My husband had his interview in Mumbai January 2024. The consular office asked him many questions about the dates on the certificate, even showed it to his supervisor. We believe this is one of the reasons we were given a 221g, even after my husband clearly explained to the consular officer. Perhaps this method of marriage is not the norm or not seen as often at certain consulates/embassies.

I can’t speak for Canada , but my husband obtained his PCC in India without my name in his passport.

Summerbrezz07 got a reaction from pc09 in What options to choose to get PCC in India ?
I can only speak for IR1 visa. when my husband applied for his PCC it was “ immigration, purposes, other than citizenship”. when his PCC was issued, it stated that on the document as well. When the PCC was uploaded and submitted to NVC , it was excepted. I am not familiar with “long-term visa/stay” classification. I would assume with a K-1 visa your intent is to immigrate after marriage in the USA.

You looking for time frame bet 18-24 months depends on your case also factoring on service center that process your case, also when uscis approve they move your case to nvc, and finally embassy where your spouse will do interview how fast they are working etc. It’s a long process but will get there as long you are patient and everything is legit

How can some I-751s sit for a long as 3 years (No RFEs) before processing while newly-submitted cases are processed in a little as 3 months?  I think USCIS is manipulating their processing times by processing cases last in, first out....at the expense of people who submitted cases earlier.
Anyone have a better explanation?  Local office issues?

    Are they here in USA?
If they are ,  let them apply for him

if not,,  cancel the I 1864 and I 130 and block all from reaching u
    don't make yourself miserable
divorce , let them find out and move on and have a good life

If he lied to u about his status (education ),  tell immigration as he will probably lie to CO at the interview/that's a lifetime ban
he might be able to BS some,  but not a CO who has the background info and knows what to ask for

You cannot legally file as single if you were married as of 12/31/2022.  Your spouse's location is irrelevant.   You can file as follows:

As a married taxpayer, choose one:
    1.  "Married- Filing Jointly" if your spouse has a SSN or ITIN (or you can apply for one).
    2.  "Head Of Household" if you qualify.
    3.  "Married- Filing Separately."

If your tax preparer says you can file as "single" since your spouse is not yet in the US, he/she is wrong.

I’ve never heard of courtly .As for Utah online marriage , you will need to start by visiting Utahcounty.gov and find the information about applying for the online marriage license. You will need to set a date for this and pay the fee.  Also provide info needed  for the marriage license.Keep in mind you and your partner will need to be present online during this process. After that step is complete and the marriage license is issued, you can then set a date  for the online marriage ceremony.Again a fee will need to be paid for that as well. All related info can be found on their website .

The first thing that stands out to me is, the bottom copy states “ This is an official certificate of marriage “ . The top one does not . I also know that Utah will  provide a copy of the marriage license along with the marriage certificate and their state seal Imprinted on the document. Not much more authentic than that.I can speak of this because I have first hand experience. 6 months into the process and luckily no RFE’s up to this point. My personal opinion is , if u want go the online route go with Utah. There are many others out there that have done the same.

Sounds like you applied to far In advance .Most likely you will need to reapply, the E-visa you currently have will expire before your entry to India. I applied this past April 2 weeks before I traveled to India., to avoid the same problem.Once you arrive on Feb. 5th  you will have a 30  day Validity from time of entry for the E-visa.

Summerbrezz07 got a reaction from nguyen407 in How to fill out "N/A" in the text field not allow special charactor
You can print out the completed form once you’ve typed all the correct information and then simply add with black pen “N/A”, the word “present”and whatever other info is needed. I would not suggest putting today’s date if your still working for the same employer or that will appear the job ended as of the date you add.

We need a little housekeeping on your end. Many of our answers are predicated on the information you supply in your profile. When we look at the left column and can't determine your timeline OR your Embassy it's hard for us to give you a factual answer. Our answers will sometimes be tailored to a specific Embassy hence the reason for you to complete your profile. If you look at the profile of others here, they have a flag for their country, so it makes it easy for us to reply as we can quickly determine their Embassy. The country that should be used is the country where the interview will take place.

So, if you could help yourself out and complete your profile that sure would help us out when we want to reply to your question with factual information.

Go to the top right of this page select your name (it's on the upper right-hand corner)>my profile>[below your picture on the right column] edit my profile. Scroll to the bottom and fill in "Immigration Info". There now we can better serve you.

Once you finish that then return and you will see a flag in your profile. Select it and see what wonderful information will open up for you.

    Thanks

No need to sign supporting evidence. The only real documents you absolutely must sign are the I-129F form and the letter of intent to marry. Supporting docx like the photos, receipts, etc. are not required to be signed.

It will be a negative factor. It does not mean they will ignore her income. It is one part of the totality of the circumstances.
Although how she has Medicaid with "really good income" is a bit confusing. Medicaid is income-restricted. Some states are more restrictive than others, but the idea is the same anywhere.

I can understand about feeling overwhelmed with such a life changing event, but being concerned about divorce before even getting married is not a good sign.People in life will always have their own personal thoughts and feelings about things. Ultimately it is your decision to do what is best for you. Have you spoken to your fiancé about your concerns and what your plans are for the future, take some time to focus and try to be stay positive.
