Did they give your foreign passport back?

Hi Everyone after a very long story which included having to contact my senator to get things unstuck, my oath ceremony has been scheduled for the 17 of Nov! I travelled to Jamaica and Canada between my interview which was May 4 and my scheduled oath ceremony, it says to bring travel documents with me… what documents do they want? Anyone know?

My GC condition removal packet still has not arrived at Orlando, after multiple attempts to get ahold of an agent, she couldn't see where my packet was and so she put in a request to escalate to a Tier 2 operator - which now takes up to 30 days to receive a call from them... So I passed my interviews, but I am still waiting for my 751 packet to arrive in Orlando for them to be able to approve my N400 / I751 and schedule my oath ceremony. :(

how did you get a hold of someone on USCIS? What number did you call? I already had my interview (combo) and my 751 packet still isnt at the field office - I am recommended for citizenship but can't get officially approved until they have my 751 packet.

Does anyone know how to get someone on the phone at USCIS? I had my combo interview May 4, and was approved for citizenship, however the office had not yet received my I751 packet from the office that it was sent too. The officer at my interview made a request while I was there for the application to be sent to him, and said it should take about 2 weeks. I have not heard anything since, and my status still shows "interview scheduled".... Sabrina

I just had my combo interview, however my 751 application was still at another service center. So I passed both but can’t take my oath until my case officer gets the physical application. He put a request for it in, usually takes 14 business days… I’ll get my ceremony date notice in the mail.

If you are in a hurry what do you do? I have a trip booked in July to Jamaica with family.

Congratulations! my joint I751 / citizenship interview I this Thursday! Did they schedule you right then for the oath?

My interview is May 4, I didn’t think it would be this soon. I have a large family vacation to Jamaica booked for July… will I be able to get a passport in time? Can I still travel on my Canadian passport?

How do you find out if your office does same day oaths?

I received my 48 month extension letter and then the next week I received notice online that my interview was scheduled. May 4th!

My original letter after filing my I751 was for 24 months. The newest letter extended it for a total of 48 months.

My interview was scheduled today. May 4, 2023. It does not say anything about a combo interview, but my husband will be coming with me.

I received a letter yesterday extending my GC for 48 months (4yrs) from its expiration… it is ridiculous how long the wait is for processing the removal of conditions! I am so happy that my N400 is being “actively reviewed” I am really hoping it is ready to schedule an interview by the end of the month! for those of you with scheduled interviews, how long was your petition in the “review” stage before it changed to “ready to schedule”?

You do not need to do that, and I actually don’t think you can. However few things I do because I travel a lot for work and personal. 1. I signed up for the daily USPS emails that show what is being delivered that day (also great when you end up having missing packages) 2. Continuously check your uscis online account to see if there are any notices uploaded to your documents. when I was out of town for a week for work I noticed my biometrics appointment was booked and I was going to be out of the country the day it was booked for, so I just called them and had it rescheduled… when I got back from my work trip the old notice was waiting for me in my mail - but I knew I was getting a new notice with the rescheduled date. I also check my account frequently so I knew what the new date was before I got it in the mail.

May I ask how long did your status show the application was being reviewed until it changed to interview being scheduled?

Ummm so since my case was updated, my I751 has disappeared from my online account, with a notice at the top saying they are having trouble retrieving my messages and an error retrieving my data

Exciting news! I just finished my biometric appointment and my case was immediately update to say “actively reviewing “ I am assuming that is better than the stage my I751 has been stuck in for over a year which is “case shows fingerprints where taken”…. It is right? :))

Thanks! They sent me to west palm beach which is 2 hrs away even though I’m closer to Orlando (which is were I did my GC stuff) so was just wondering… also Orlando shows a slightly faster processing time so was hoping for Orlando

Is the location of your biometrics appointment, also where your application is being processed? Ie if my biometrics is in city x, then the office processing it is also city x?

I’m sure they know that, but if you are worried you can call uscis and ask them if it is ok or was it an error

Do your taxes before your interview and bring the taxes transcript with you.

My biometrics was not reused, and my I751 hasn’t been transferred yet, really hoping they transfer it soon!
