  1. congratulations! We have the same situation. Our I-751 was approved and then received the permanent green card. then received a notice saying that both spouses need to attend the N400 interview. So how did you let them know your I-751 was approved when you went to N400 interview?
  2. Thanks. Yes our children are US citizens. My wife and I are busy with jobs and my parents offered to take care of our children for us to have a rest.
  3. My wife and I will have a combo interview. Do we need to bring children to the interview? Our children are with grandparents in another country. If needed, we will take them back to the interview with us. But if not required, we will not bother as we are both tired from job and need some rest.
  4. We submitted my wife's I-751 in early 2023 and then my wife submitted her N400 in July 2024. Shortly after, her I-751 was approved in November 2024 and she received her 10-yr green card one week alter. Then in December 2024, her N400 was scheduled. But a few days ago, we received a letter from USCIS that we will need to attend a combo interview for N400. In the meanwhile, the online status for I-751 changed from "approved" to "your case was transferred and a new field office has jurisdiction". So is this normal? anything we need to prepare?
  5. I recall in the past years they mail you a package of prep materials and a CD. Will they still do so?
  6. Hi folks, here is our situation. my wife had been waiting for her I-751 for about 2 years in July 2024. Many people suggested her apply for N400 while waiting for I-751. We submitted her N400 package online in July 2024 using her expired green card and the 4-year extension letter. Last week, her I-751 was approved and we received her new 10-year green card. Do we need to upload the I-751 approval letter and new green card to her N400 package online? Is it required? If we do so, will it expedite her N400 processing?
  7. Today is a holiday. I believe most government entities do not work. but today our I-751 status become "New Card Being Produced". But we did not receive any text or email alerting. Is it true that our I-751 was approved in a holiday?
  8. My spouse filed her I751 in December 2022 to VSC. After waiting for 1.5 years and being suggested by friends here in this forum, we filed her N400 in July 2024. Now after 4 months, still no updates. I read here and there that many similar cases got approved within 3 months. So what shall I do now besides waiting?
  9. Thanks folks for your kind and fast replies. So we are going to file N400 while waiting for 751 approval. One more question about the combo interview. Must the sponsor (me) go together with beneficiary (my wife)?
  10. Hey folks, my wife and I need some advice. We live in NJ. She filed I751 in December 2022. It has been 16 months but the tracking info is still "Fingerprints Were Taken". We did not file N400 yet because we ever read some articles on the internet what it's "better" to Get I751 approved first. So shall we contact our congressman to push USCIS a little? Not sure it works but we have no idea what else we can do. Can you folks give some advice? thanks in advance
