We met in 1998 when I was working in Binga, Zimbabwe and began dating in 1999, just a few months before I was due to return to the USA.
I was able to visit twice, in 2000 and again in 2003 when we got engaged. We began the visa process in September 2003 - my petition was FINALLY approved in February. By the time my petition arrived at the US Embassy in Zimbabwe and the Embassy managed to send the paperwork to my fiance', it was already early May. My fiance' has finished gathering all of the necessary documents and just scheduled his interview. We're somewhat concerned because the interview date is June 17th, 5 days AFTER the petition expires. We're hoping that an extension will be granted.
