What airline did they fly in on?

In Hong Kong twice last year I had a problem with Cathay without a return ticket with my asawa.    I had a printout of the rule but the first time they found my return reservation that was ticketed by American so no issue.    The second time i ended up going online a getting an award ticket with American that I could cancel without a fee. (A benefit a traveling on AMerican 100,000 plus a year.)

I;ve never gotten the BB stamp   Just a hand written BB on the entry.  In fact last time a Cebu I just used the APEC lane with no wait.

This was a person trying to go to USA?

CFO is for people going to Australia and other parts of the world as well?

It is for anyone from immigrating from the Philippines to anywhere.  Kids included.

  3. I fly thru there over a dozen times per year.  English is spoken.  Very easy to get around. When you arrive look for the transit checkpoints to clear security before going all the way to the immigration area.

You won't have time to leave the airport but there is tons of shopping and restaurants.  If you have access to the airport clubs they can be very spectacular.  On our last trip thru with my wife we picked a 12 hour layover just so we would have time to go to the clubs, dine, take a shower, a massage and a get a  day room to take a nap.

I always forget it is even related to China!

We're flying from Hong Kong to the US after taking a few days there. She wants to go to disneyland and we'll never make it the one in Anaheim so better off hitting it while we are in this area.

I've been to all the Disneylands.   Hong Kong is my favorite as an adult.  Go early it opens at 10 and closes at 8.   The lines are very bearable.  Very easy to walk. Take they MRT our ferry there. Put extra money on an octopus card and used it for your meals.  We went there while dating and she still the everyone about it.  Also try Stanley peer by taxi and ask the driver to take you the long way.  The best Filipino food is Bedina Food Trip in Kowloon/ Jordan

    But I digress . . .

As for the flight tickets I put her Filipino passport number and dates in.  No problems.

If you travel from the US, once she gets her green card,  you still use her Filipino passport and most airlines have a field in the flyer profile for the gc info.

    Hi!

Should it be the "certificate" first (if you don't have the visa yet) and then the sticker?

I am referring to one case wherein they went to the CFO but since they haven't been interviewed at the USEM the certificate wasn't issued since there is no assurance that they will be approved.  Below is the post of @Pbchief2 on another thread.

    CFO issues....

The lady that was assigned to her says she thinks she forgot her paper work at the Clark satellite office.  When she took the seminar she had told her she would not issue the certificate since there was no guarantee she would pass the interview. Now CFO May have misplaced the paperwork. We'll find out Wednesday at Clark.

So my worry right now is I may have the same issue/concern as the one listed above.

    :)

My wife spent most the day in Manila to get her counseling and afternoon class before her visa appointment. It was very easy.

Of course we made the staff think about which class she should be in.   She was first going to Mexico as a permanent resident since I was working there.  Ultimately they put her in an American class since she was marrying an American.  We didn't apply for an US visa for a few months later.

Don't worry about the class. Just get it done.  When she went back for the sticker it only took 10 minutes.

I don't see how his pertinent question about getting through to book a medical because he can't actually get through on the phone merits your response. Patience has nothing to do with it, he's already near the end of the process.

Probably has more to do more with the OP's posts about working illegally in the US while awaiting a green card and taking cruises to Hawaii.  Comes off as very entitled.

Can I put my Fiance's telephone number instead?

IDK  I think they want a Filipino number.   I think they just want it incase they have to cancel the appointment or something,  I asked my wife and she said they never called her about anything.    She did the class before getting the visa.  It was pretty easy.

    Hi,

how do you know it will be 12-15 months? I haven't received mine (PD March 05). I sent an inquiry and they said i have to wait 120 more days. It is crazy.

I am very disappointed at this point.

We are talking about CR1/IR1 petitions for spouse.   They have a PD of the date it is filed.

I suggest you fill in an immigration timeline and we can give you a better experience. Are you a F4 or F3?

I'm just not understanding why immigration attorneys are telling me that I need to supply them with criminal records?

You are correct in that the I-130 for the petitioner does not mention criminal history.  However they will run a background check on the petitioner and if the charges for the Domestic Violence come up you will most likely get an RFE.  I know of several cases where it has come up. The process gets delayed while you go get the documents. .  They will want the Certified Court Copies.  My recommendation is to do yourself a favor and get the documents.  You will have 8 to 12 plus months to get them together.    It will also most certainly come up in your spouses interview as well.

And like I said before I would get a copy of your FBI file just to make sure there aren't any surprises.   The file is not always correct and it is better to get corrected while you have the time.

Releasing of documents here in PH is quite slow.

Other than your Birth Certificate I think you only Need the report of Marriage from NSO.  Just keep gathering documentation of your interactions and get him to add you to his credit cards, life insurance, will etc.  Things that a married couple in the US would have.  Since you were married in 2018 he can file with you on his taxes.  Taxes can be filed in February.  Have a copy of that to take to the interview as well.

  11. I think your documents look ok.  Your petition will have to stand on wheat was sent in.  You can't add anything at this stage. You can add ore if they ask or at the interview stage.

Hopefully you will hear back on the expedite soon.  It is too bad the petition wasn't filed sooner.

In the meantime it would be good for him to add you as a beneficiary to his life insurance policy and to add you to any other accounts he can.   You need to commingle your marital assets just like a married couple in the US would as much as possible. I was able to add my Filipina wife to my credit cards and bank account.  He can execute a power of attorney, update his will ,etc.   You can make out a will listing him.

You can also get your CFO stamp and an updated passport if you haven't already.

He can start to prepare the I-864 for the next stage.

  12. I had a friend in a similar circumstance to yours.   Domestic Violence / AWA.  Charged and pled down from a felony.  He was able to get an I-130 for a CR-1 approved without RFE.  Like others said be very truthful on the filing.  Ultimately USCIS/ DOS will want either certified copies of the disposition (sentencing) or a certified copy of no records found.

For a K1 you have to get a waiver.   No waiver for a CR1.

I would order a copy of your FBI report to make sure everything is ok and to know what they are going to see.  It is possible to see things not on the report but it is good to run your own to make sure there isn't anything inaccurate or even a surprise.

Your spouse will need to know about all of the charges.  Expect it to come up at the interview.
