Once the case is DQ’d it’s in the process of going to the consulate, correct?
It is ready to be sent to the consulate. When the consulate opens dates the NVC will schedule and send out the Interview Letter. Where is the case/status in CEAC?

If she receives a job offer with an imminent start date, will that be a basis for expediting the interview?
She can always ask. Right now the case isn't even at the consulate so you would have to start with the NVC.

I read age gap is an issue sometimes. I'm 30 shes 35
Not a problem - age gap is more of a ten or fifteen year plus concern. Like us, she was 24 and I was 50.

Thank you, that makes sense! Is there a sense of what the timeframe is for receiving an appointment slot, in terms of wait? The internet has not been super helpful.
Go in to your Visa Journey Timeline and correct your consulate. Then you can click on 'check similar timelines" and see how you compare to other members.

She had her biometrics in December 2020 and since then we have not heard nothing.
At this point it is all up to the field office. I would go ahead and apply for the citizenship. I know a few people who have had the N-400 interview before the I-751 was approved. ( You can't be approved for citizenship without an approved ROC but things can get moved along) Another possibility is having a combination interview.

Hang on, she just got approved for her 10 year GC?
Yup it was in her little hand a week after the interview.
2 minutes ago, Ben & Katy said:And she applied to remove conditions in July 2020?
Yes - (i) paper filed it about an inch thick. Interview was pretty simple . . .

We have two dogs and live in Arizona. We used to frequently take them across the border to Mexico and back during our vacations to Rocky Point beach. Will we still be able to take our dogs to Mexico and back by land?
YES - they can still travel to Puerto Peñasco.

So for people removing conditions that had their initial CR1 interview in places like Juarez, Rio or any other country. How long is it taking to remove conditions for CR1 embassy people
Mary just finished her I-751. Biometric letter was 1 year after filing and the interview was 14 months. She filed her N-400 and just got the biometric letter.

Hi,
We received document approval to move on to an interview. The emails said:
"NVC will work with the U.S. Embassy/Consulate General in PORT AU PRINCE, HAT to schedule an interview appointment for you."
But I see folks scheduling things through USTravelDocs. Is that what I should be doing or is it waiting for them to contact me?
Thanks!
Since you are a I-130 filer the NVC will schedule the appointment when the consulate has appointment slots for CR1/IR1. K Visas self schedule.

Start with finding a school and get the DS2019 so you can apply for a visa. School starts in 11 months!

If it needs to be a printed part of the visa like on the attached example, then you will have to apply for a new one.
Unfortunately it has to be printed on the VISA.

There is one "gotcha" on getting the TWIC. You will need to do a visit to get the biometrics done before the TWIC is issued. Then it takes a few weeks to get the card. So you have to visit before you need it.
Then there is on "Benefit" not talked too much about for TWIC. You can use at as global entry at the Airport!
Mary holds one, due to my work, and since she had it we were able to visit British Virgin Islands by boat during the quarantine.

thanks for comment Paul,
My question is :
I already have a B1 Visa but I need to add the TWIC annotated, do you know If I have to rea pply all over again to the B1 Visa?
I think you need to reapply for the VISA with the TWIC letter from your employer.
-
If you visa is annotated then you are allowed to apply for a TWIC when you are in the US. This is typically done for maritime workers but there also cases in which a B1 holder is needing a TWIC.
You would have provided a letter from your employer to get the annotation.

How? Just let the officer know?
Yes just let them know. You can also upload a letter in your USCIS online account as "Unsolicited Evidence". If you do that let the officer know as well.

fix it at the interview.

Hi, I checked the status and it says NO STATUS and the date is June 11 2021. It says contact Consulate
Probably time to go to Morocco and spend more time with him. You need to spend much more time together. Chances are they will kick it back to USCIS to die. You can either marry/ file an I-130 or try another K1. Once of the worse things about a K1, other than not being able to work or travel for a long time when coming to the US, is that you can not appeal a refusal from the consulate.

well if im 100% wrong then the BI is wrong and needs to get their people in check with that because thats where i got my information from. and if i was born here in the us and my mom at the time was a filipina that makes me a filipino citizen
If that were to happen it does makes a Filipino Citizen. Presuming she was a Filipin Citizen at the time and the dd she did a report of birth at the consulate - you would have a Filipino Passport too!
Your kids are dual citizenship.
Using an agency is waste of money (maybe not a waste of time) My wife's second Filipino passport was about the third in cost of her first. She didn't use a agency or fixer.

care to explain #4? 😊
11 minutes ago, Paul & Mary said:4) If you are getting hung up on this right now then I hope you have already thought thru what it will take to show that you are re-establishing your domicile.
In order to get he visa you must prove to the consulate that you have either re-established your domicile in US or you are entering the US with your spouse. You will be asked to show that you have filed your US income taxes and show any things you have done to maintain your domicile, like vote, maintainn property, pay bills etc.

Don't be surprised if the CO invites you into the interview as well. We can't help you there so you better know your stuff. I was asked back the afternoon of my wife's interview. The CO went over my travel, how we met, my income, assets, work, my house in Arizona, my kid, my divorce, why we were living in Mexico what are plans for living together were . . . Doing a successful DCF is much more detailed then the stateside filing and you are on your own to do the scheduling and to figure things out.
I am presuming that you will use the "Immediate return for Work" as the exceptional circumstance. So you will need that documented in your request for DCF.

I know, but the judge is gonna be making a decision. Like I said earlier maybe I really messed up.
Yes unfortunately winning WoM will often result in the unintended results of forcing the NVC to act where one option (sending to the consulate) isn'tavailable so they have to return it to USCIS..

itll be overseas..DCF (as this thread states).
1) You know that you do not file the I-864 with the petition and you are not filing anything with USCIS. You need to read the guides and understand them if you are going to be doing this yourself.
2) You will need to meet exceptional circumstances to file DCF unless you are military.
3) $21,775 is the minimum. The consulate could say it needs to be more. This is called the totality of circumstances. They won't say it is less. USCIS and Department of State forms are very literal. You need to read it that way. Multiple times the answer ahs been give as to the minimum. It is in I-864P
4) If you are getting hung up on this right now then I hope you have already thought thru what it will take to show that you are re-establishing your domicile.

-
2 minutes ago, lalaland said:
okso..my co sponsor has to make 125% more than 21,775 correct? which is how much?
It is a minimum - the consulate will determine it's adequacy based on your petition
