OP, you probably didn't remember this but I'd like to invite you to check this over from the instruction mentioned on USCIS I-751 Website and show you where it mentioned it. https://www.uscis.gov/i-751 Scroll down to Checklist of Required Initial Evidence. There you'll see it mention If you are filing a waiver because of divorce, you could be including that in awhile ago. *Let me take a step back and look over the instruction on I-751 here -> https://www.uscis.gov/sites/default/files/document/forms/i-751instr.pdf I know this can be confusing and tricky, but anytime there are a change you should report it. It is also helpful that it is happened to be a post about it from top of this page by @beloved_dingo that the person (in the post) who've submitted the I-751 and didn't update afterward is going through rocky road. I hope I pointed it out where the missing piece of puzzle is at, if not let us know so we can improve better to explain what happens. Do check out what @OldUser mentioned as well. Maybe you may get something to catch on.

I don't think this is the right question. OP could be confused and not understanding because we have said x case, y case, and repeat but no returned message of the said case that went unanswered. & he may not get it, it take a different explanation sometimes. He is free to do what he wish at his own risk if he want to go that route and find out how it goes and come back here. Or he can decide not to later on. Since it seemed like he was he was saying he checked with a few lawyers (Unless I misread that and it could've been 1 or 2 lawyers) it is showing in his favor and not the one we mentioned. Lawyers are the risky part of immigration due to lack of proper knowledge and it is huge - there are many case and info of people saying lawyers said this and that and it's not the correct info here. They are good to try to convince their client either their client win or lose. It is up to OP to be aware once something wrong had happened per lawyer fault, he is having to deal with that consequences and I hope he realize this. OP, there had been some lawyers that convinced their client things are right but there had been mistake happened before and it made client have major accident such as 5 year ban from the USA and such. Please be careful. - I'm not a lawyer, but I'm the petitioner and filed for my Husband. Doing research and coming here does help a ton! You're to decide what you want to do. Unless the people on the forum tells you to get a real lawyer to correct something that is outside of our help. Hope this helps with the decision. Take care.

Maybe she is just lucky!

She can join and talk about her case here so we can see if it is real or not. Image of the mail can be edited to hide private info. Worth a try.

I may be wrong but the last time I read about the GC production some time ago as they were reducing GC production center to reduce cost & then we ended up getting extension letters for 48 months out for now. My Husband is currently on the 48 months extension letter via NOA. I'm guessing he'll naturalize first before he does get the next GC. I'm not sure about first time GC receivers and how long their wait is for now. Maybe it might give you a few idea how long to wait. I do have a timeline and in signature. Do note he didn't do CR-1 so timeline would be different I think.

Business account?
WaterLeaf replied to WaterLeaf's topic in Site-Related Discussion - Updates, Ideas, etc.
This would definitely be an easy thing for moderators and I recommend it! I'd also think including searching from Recent Status Update as I remember a few is found there too. Understood regarding removing links. That's fine. Searching through Wales [4 deleted] Onto Yemen [1 deleted] Onto Yugoslavia - nothing. Searching thru Zambia. [1 deleted] Onto Zimbabwe [2 deleted] Onto Paraguay - nothing. But I like seeing where I left off so I don't go through the searches again. Ok, this is a lil bit for now. More later! -
Business account?
WaterLeaf replied to WaterLeaf's topic in Site-Related Discussion - Updates, Ideas, etc.
[removed] This one is odd. Number and email match but the address do not. Just got curious because I'm also in TN. LOL. [removed] So far I noticed most of these account are old but eh I'm just having fun haha. Bye scammer! Searches from Uruguay completed. I'm gonna leave this here so I know where I left off at. Next search: Palau Finished with Palau, next up: Latvia Ok that was all for that. Uzbekistan next. Vanuatu next! Onto Vietnam (No Flag) Onto Virgin Islands Alright, finished searching for time being. I'll come back later to post more. I'm not sure if some of these are approved by the admin, but I thought of a nice idea if the profile would have something assigned to it that can only be approved for advertising like a badge or something. Just a thought. -
This is the weirdest thing I had to come across looking at my State Congress' email that I get sometimes... but this was not too long ago. https://johnrose.house.gov/media/press-releases/members-tennessees-congressional-delegation-send-letter-president-biden Members of Tennessee’s Congressional Delegation Send Letter to President Biden Condemning Plan to Bus ICE Detainees to Volunteer State TLDR; Biden allowed a plane full of immigrant to come through into the state of TN bypassing all security check and borders. State Congress asking for why, got nothing back from Biden. (Or at least how I saw it lol) Other links that follows: https://www.tennessean.com/story/news/politics/2022/12/20/feds-plan-to-transport-some-migrants-to-tennessee-as-title-42-ends/69744596007/ Paywall link warning.^ https://www.tn.gov/governor/news/2022/12/20/gov--lee--senators-blackburn-and-hagerty-demand-biden-administration-reverse-plan-to-release-ice-detainees-in-tennessee.html https://fox17.com/news/local/tennessee-bill-proposes-relocating-undocumented-immigrants-to-bidens-hometown-kamala-harris-pelosi-schumer-bruce-griffey-southern-border-crisis Gee.

The fastest online bank I know of is Capital One. After you opened an account and verify everything, adding your spouse to it as a joint account is next. After she does her verification, it's all set. At first it'll take a few days (No need to make excuse for can't open one right now - just to say how easy it is) but when you talk about it in your interview, you can say you're in the process! No monthly fee or anything like that. My Husband and I like it.

Attitude in replies
WaterLeaf replied to AndiB's topic in Site-Related Discussion - Updates, Ideas, etc.
I've been here for a few years and it's easy to get confused with what is possibly mean manner vs helpful contribution and it could take days for me to re-read it in the way that it wasn't mean mannered. It was something that I had to learn to pick up over the time and try to communicate to understand. While that may have happened to the new members, I guess it was also because of the lack of bigger picture explanation. A good example of that would be "Too married for K1". If there are a link provided by VJ that explains it, I think it'll be less troublesome trying to explain it. Things like this can be helpful I believe. Just my thought. I haven't reported something lately but I don't stay on here all the time. I reported a few back then for questionable context. But nonetheless I've seen the site been better overall with the progress of taming down the wild beast since a few years ago when I joined. -
Yes I did included the SS-5 Form and included the SSN in box 2. To the questions I asked; Box 5 I selected Legal Alien Allowed to work, but I don't have a reference to back that up other than the instruction that came with SS-5 Form. Box 11 I selected Yes, presumably that my Husband did get a social security card and this isn't his first time (I think he applied for it through the EAD process), entered his name on Box 12 and left Box 13 blank because of no DOB change. The guy in the office didn't ask or mention anything that need to be corrected. I think it'll go smoothly. I added a small pic, most private info are erased but have a few thing exposed. Box #14 and #17 was left blank in case we need this printed again for future reference; editable.

Hello all, I'm back again and sorry for the long wait. We went back to the same office we've visited. As usual, we did not wait any more than 10 mins and we have been called to the window which we went to Yesterday and it was a different guy Today. Ok cool! I presented the info myself and the guy understood, and processed it with no question. He seem to know about this stuff and told us that my Husband will get a card in the mail within 1 to 2 weeks. I did not mention anything about Yesterday's visit, no need to carry drama. Anyway, it all went well. Thank you. Case closed! -- My Husband told me he was excited to get his unlimited Social Security Card. Me: 🤦♀️ It is Unrestricted Social Security Card, si sir!

Permanent Restraining Order on me. I got RFE PICTURES UPLOADED
WaterLeaf replied to Hamina's topic in IMBRA Special Topics
I read that OP asked about the case before and someone mentioned to disclose the restraining order. So it was bound to request if it's missing from the filing.- 13 replies

Yes sir. Currently filling out the online fill-able form before it get to become the permanent PDF file so it's easy to save for later use or reference. 2 question on this SS form: -Should I put Legal Alien Allowed to work on #5? -Should I put Yes in box #11 since he had already got a SS card from applying for it when doing the AOS phase? I'm not exactly remembering where it was mentioned but I think it was the EAD process.

As far of asking for a manager/supervisor, I didn't had to ask when I was at the Athens office but the one in Knoxville refused. I sent a letter of complaint to SSA and they looked into the situation and then corrected it. I'm always going to automatically assume many people do not know how the immigration process work, along with many places, because it's not a common thing around here so it just take more of some time and guidance to push it through. Local people here are all terrible about it, they know nothing. To edit previous post that was no longer editable - Edit: I think I see it mentions change or correct a SS card... I'll have a copy in hand but not wanting it to fall into a new SS# situation lol.

My Husband came from Uruguay with a K-1 Visa. I needed to say; we got lucky. I've seen so many option that has been said so many times that CR-1 is always better since years ago. Even Today, it is still much better because now the processing time in the later process of K-1 Visa to Naturalization is much much longer and it'll keep adding up. In my signature you'll see when we started, what all we went through, where we're at now. It's a long process of the journey. I'm only saying we got lucky because I'm able to manage finances and things while waiting for him to get the EAD/AP, AOS ing and so much going on after that. In any other regard, we took the long road and we're facing some other unusual thing to process and fix thing when you have CR-1 that just take care of many more. But hey it's cool we're learning and taking the process timely down the road as we can but not to be late. TLDR; We're K1 adjuster, but we do see it is better for CR-1. This is the recent K1 due to ongoing process!

I try to carefully read over the SSA page that mentions it and it seem to have a questionable clause of why would the NOA that my Husband have would be 48 months instead of the 18 months. I found and printed out this page to attach for updated situation that help covers that. https://www.uscis.gov/i-9-central/form-i-9-related-news/form-i-751-and-i-829-48-month-extension I'm also adding a screenshot in case the page get lost/deleted/edited/removed.

I just got back! The guy in the SSA office said they don't do anything about the SS card until my Husband naturalize. I'm guessing he didn't know about the other part of the SSA regulation like the link. I'll look over the link you provided. Edit: We're in East TN area so we check out the Athens office. They are small and not many people so it's good. Knoxville SSA office was really bad last time we visited. Too many people and the staff were not helpful at all. My Husband do have the updated valid DL so it's good until 2030.
