  1. I did submit extra evidence, although it is not necessary: Copy of residential lease (as proof of address) Copy of my Driver's License 5 years worth of Tax Transcripts from the IRS A copy of my Mother's Certificate of Naturalization (She is a US citizen)
  2. You filed exactly on your 90 day early filing date? So your PR anniversary is May 17, 2024?
  3. Congrats! Did you file under the 90 day early filing period?
  4. You can have the interview before your anniversary, but you cannot have the oath before. I personally have not seen any interview scheduled before anyone’s anniversary date. It’s not a “rule” it’s just what USCIS does.
  5. No, online vs. mailed it it's all the same. Biometrics reuse or not, it's usually all the same. Some people just hear back sooner, and for others it takes longer. Only the USCIS can answer why, but I'd say it's because they have an inconsistent system and likely the most reasonable explanation. There is no correlation.
  6. USCIS usually schedule the interviews for after your 3 or 5 year anniversary
  7. Same for me. I applied on February 19 but it was at like 10pm so it registered it on February 20
  8. The case estimates on the USCIS website doesn’t mean anything. Everyone get the same timeline pretty much.
  9. No. Every case varies, for no reason. Living here for more or less time doesn’t have a bearing on how fast the case is processed
  10. No one knows, they're inconsistent. There's no real explanation. You might have to redo your biometrics, or they might send a reuse letter in a couple of days FYI it has no impact on the outcome of your case.
  11. Most people get the letter around 5 weeks before interview date.
  12. There must be a federal judge at the ceremony who can approve/sign off on the name change. It cannot be done by a USCIS officer, so yes it will likely delay things
  13. Yes open the letter and it will give you a time and date to appear for biometrics
  14. The uscis officer will go through your application with you and reaffirm the name change. I would ask them at that time if you’re unsure if you want to change your name or not
  15. That's good news. Yeah I am hoping mine won't be scheduled too early. I am applying also for a name change so I hope I don't have to wait too long for an oath either! Fingers crossed
  16. Nice and is your interview date scheduled for after your resident since date? I saw that the Chicago office is scheduling interviews so quickly. I applied under the 90 day early filing timeline but hoping I don't accidentally get an interview before my LPR anniversary! I applied on 02/19/2024. My 5 year anniversary is on 05/17/2024. Also I am using this to test myself it's really good: https://www.polytripper.com/games/english/civics-test.php?fbclid=IwAR11uShVQr1JxXullZykZ5FjlAzG2BnFZcNtEfj4BfvGHjgOLW9ECGUfr30
  17. Congrats! Did you file under the 90 early day filing? I am also Chicago office! Waiting on an interview date
  18. You can run into serious issues if she doesn't file the I-751, Petition to Remove Conditions on Residence. Why did you never do this? Are you unaware of the USCIS procedures? This may look irresponsible in the eyes of the USCIS. Hopefully it doesn't jeopardize too much.

  20. Nice. I am having a name change too so I hope the oath won’t take long after my interview. Congrats again!
