  1. This is good to know, my sister had no idea. She’s 18 now, but by the time she is 21, the law will no longer be in practice
  2. Oh interesting. My sister has had dual citizenship since she was a child with Germany and Sri Lanka. It’s possible German govt didn’t know about her dual citizenship 😂
  3. If you're that early in the morning, then yes I would say the chances are strong for the same day oath! good luck
  4. It's a physical file, includes everything you ever submitted to USCIS from the very start. You might see it at the interview. Sometimes people's interviews got cancelled if their file didn't arrive to the location in time (rare).
  5. It’s a good idea, but it complicates matters because ultimately your file would have to be shipped to that field office. I’m sure this would cause a lot of delays and files to get lost if we could choose where it would ship. 😅😅
  6. A bunch of March filing folks are already getting interviews! Fingers crossed we all hear back soon 😄
  7. I’m doing a name change also and I hope my oath gets scheduled quickly. Chicago IL here
  8. Well thankfully after this you’ll be done with immigration procedures. Not sure why you were given a hard time if if you already underwent removal of conditions!
  9. I use the Lawfully app for this reason. As soon as I get an interview, I will be notified via the app.
  10. Obtain your Tax Return Transcript, it's a couple of pages. Do not upload the return itself. More info here: https://www.irs.gov/individuals/get-transcript
  11. Nothing. You bring the proof if it's applicable to you. If it's not, then you disregard.
  12. Are you a male between ages 18-26? If yes, you would have had to sign up for selective service. It asked you this as well on your N-400 application.
  13. Just checked the IRS website and saw that my 2023 Tax Return Transcript was available. I uploaded it to the USCIS website as additional evidence.
  14. Just wear something that you’d be comfortable showing up to a job interview with. Not too extravagant, but respectable.
  15. You can upload the last five years of your tax transcripts. I did it with the original application, but you can upload evidence now. Would’ve been better if you uploaded it to begin with but it doesn’t really matter. Also the timelines on the USCIS website are not any indication of the processing times of your case. in case you haven’t noticed, everyone’s increased by a few months, that’s because everyone gets the same timeline and it is a useless measure of when you’re going to hear back about an interview
  16. Those estimates mean nothing at all. It is just a general timeline and has nothing to do with your case
  17. Apart from a passport, is there any other process which requires the original certificate to be mailed in?
  18. Nobody knows that, every case is different. However, you can check your case status online. Emma cannot tell you anything more than what you can see online.
  19. (B) BUT DHS says certified copy is fine: https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/passports/need-passport/apply-in-person.html#:~:text=ALL%20%2F%20ALL%20%2F-,Get%20evidence%20of%20U.S.%20citizenship%20(and%20a%20photocopy),of%20the%20official%20issuing%20authority. Your evidence must be an original or certified, physical copy. A certified copy is any document that has the seal or stamp of the official issuing authority. Honestly, if this is works, would be great because I it's so nerve wrecking to wait to get the original back once you send it out to them
  20. The reason why I ask is because we have the same LPR anniversary then! Mine is also 05/17/2024 !
  21. The first time I applied for citizenship that happened to me also, and then a week later I got the interview letter lol
