  1. Wow congrats that was fast, I think I waited almost two years for my entire process
  2. Next steps are to wait for your interview date. You can study in the meantime.
  3. The Interview can be scheduled before the residency requirement has been met, but the Oath will have to wait.
  4. congrats, you got an interview very quickly! Did you do early filing within 90 days, or?
  5. No i would not worry about this, several people have to redo biometrics and it is not an indication of anything. If it was approved VAWA you can file under 3 years.
  6. For the civics test? I like to use this to test myself: https://www.polytripper.com/games/english/civics-test.php?fbclid=IwAR11uShVQr1JxXullZykZ5FjlAzG2BnFZcNtEfj4BfvGHjgOLW9ECGUfr30
  7. For proof of address just the lease is sufficient. The credit card statements are not necessary
  8. Just take copies of everything if that makes you comfortable, no harm and it’ll give you peace of mind? Are you on the lease for the residence?
  9. Hm no you wouldn’t have to bring that. Why did you provide the credit card statements? Was it to prove residency? Bringing copies of those would not be necessary for interview
  10. Duplicates not needed. 1 copy of everything is sufficient. Residential lease, tax transcripts etc. If it’s an original document, then if you want, you can bring the original and a copy.
  11. Thanks, in that case I'll have a look at the I90. When I was denied the first time around I filed back in 2022, the IO actually said that in my USCIS file my resident since date was there, she wrote it down on a sticky note and gave it to me. If you were in my shoes would you file the I90 and then ignore the RFE? Will the I90 possibly delay my N400, or not related?
  12. I think at this point I will show up to the interview with the GC with the incorrect resident since date, I can't possibly see that being an issue or a grounds for a denial... fingers crossed
  13. Gotcha, thank you for the response. A friend of mine who is an immigration lawyer suggested that I call USCIS and ask them to file a service request for an amended date. Not sure if I can do this. Probably filing the I90 is the best route.
  14. They said that I could either keep the GC as is and not file for the I90, or I could file for the I90 and get the fee waived if I wanted. Ultimately, I asked will this impact any future applications and she told me no. At that point I knew that the processing times were 16-19 months for the I90 and by then I would eligible to file the N400. Additionally, people told me that even after their I90 was filed their new green card still had an incorrect resident since date. So with that being said, back then I didn't file the I90. Would it look bad on me if I file the I90 after already submitting the N400? I was worried the interviewer will ask why I waited so long to file it if I knew the date was incorrect since back in 2022, and that it will cause further problems at the interview
  15. Good to know, I'll be filing taxes soon and keeping an eye out. Does USPS ask for voter registration when you change address with them? I just changed my address on USPS.com, did it quickly though they did not ask me for voter registration. I'll have to remember to be more diligent and not sign anything
  16. Nope, it was an IR7 adjustment. My mother is a US Citizen and we applied for me when I was 19. The IO said the mistake they made was they put the date USCIS received my mailed application as the resident since date... A pity, I had no idea it was wrong. Oh well.
  17. "I work for the Registrar of Voters in my county. We see a lot of people coming into the office to cancel their voting registration and to obtain proof that they never voted. We also process letters from USCIS requesting the same info. Registration records are public record in my state. You can also simply search the county's website with house number, zip code, date of birth and it will show registration info and even when they registered. NOTE: IN MY STATE THERE IS SOMETHING CALLED MOTOR VOTER; which is a program that makes registering to vote at the Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) more convenient. In this case, unfortunately sometimes people dont read carefully and accidentally register to vote. HOWEVER, THERE WAS A GLITCH A COUPLE OF YRS AT CERTAIN LOCATIONS AND IT CAUSED AUTOMATIC REGISTRATIONS. In this case, that's included in the letter. I am unsure if it makes a difference to USCIS, since we dont hear from those individuals after. You dont lose anything by calling your county registrar of voters to see if such thing happened there. Also, people called "circulators" get people to register to sign petitions and go as far as filling out the registration forms for them. Circulator's info is at the bottom of form. In this case, it could be argued that voter was misinformed etc..." Source:
  18. I keep checking my application to make sure I didn't make any mistakes haha. Oh and another thing, i've seen some stories where people unknowingly and accidentally were REGISTERED TO VOTE when obtaining a new license at the DMV (I saw a case in California). So check any public voter registration database to make sure your name is not on it as it causes a big issue for N400 applications.
  19. That is so quick. Did you file using the 90 day early filing option?
  20. I did provide the new address on the AR-11, yes, and all the USCIS notices so far for my new N-400 have been mailed to my new address so I think they have it on file that I've moved (hopefully).
  21. Thank you, and sorry I realize my original post isn't well explained at all Filed my first N400 on July 01, 2022, with resident since date of 09/27/2017 (which is on my GC). At that time I had no idea the resident since date was incorrect! October 13, 2022, at Interview in NYC the IO tells me that my resident since date was wrong and I have not met the residency requirement. She then said that I could file an I90 if I wanted to get the date revised on the GC but that I didn't have to because it would not impact a future application. She wrote down my actual Resident Since date on a sticky note and gave it to me. October 18, 2022, I get the official notice my N400 application was denied. February 19, 2024, I file a NEW N400 application using the new resident since date of 05/17/2019 (although my GC still states the incorrect date) After submitting application I was worried that I made a mistake by never filing the I-90 and was overthinking that maybe the new IO I get for my upcoming interview will find issue with me not filing the I-90 to get the date revised.
