    It’s been two weeks since I got confirmation that my supporting documents from my passport originals were mailed back to me. However, nothing has arrived in the mail and now I wonder if it got lost by USPS Now I have to figure out how to get an original copy of my name change document because I did not change my name with Social Security yet and they require the original. Does anyone know what is the process?

    It says that my naturalization certificate was mailed back to me on July 26. Usually first class mail takes anywhere from 1 to 5 days to arrive, but it still hasn’t gotten back to me, and I have informed delivery and it doesn’t look like it’s arriving anytime soon. Can anyone chime in on how long it took them to get their documents back?

    Received my passport today. Applied via expedite at USPS. It took exactly 11 days.

    Personally, I would just submit everything again as requested and also try to contact an agent.

    Hi all, my Oath ceremony took place today in Chicago. It took about 1.5 hour from start to finish. It was a nice ceremony, and the judge gave a speech for about 10 minutes before swearing us in and doing the Oath. Everyone's families were there and it was a joyous moment. Afterward, I went straight to USPS and submitted a passport application with name change. Feels surreal that I am finally a US citizen!

    Do you need to make a note on the check that you’re paying for an expedite as well as 1-2 day shipping?

    I am applying at the county clerk office, I'll see if they accept debit. Also did you need a copy of your driver's license, or is just a certificate of naturalization enough? The Dept of State website is saying to print a photocopy of the driver's license and certificate of naturalization also

    Hi everyone, was wondering if someone could help me out with understanding how to write a check for a passport application. I called the county clerk's office where I'm going in but they weren't helpful: Do you write the check and include it with your application to be sent to the Department of State? I want to pay for expedited shipping ($21.36) + expedited processing ($60.00). Does this mean I need to write 3 different checks, one for $130, one for $21.36 and one for $60. Or can I just write a check for the full amount? $211.36

    I hope it doesn't take too long to hear back regarding my oath ceremony... I did request a name change so now I fear it's going to take a while. Chicago FO here. Been waiting just over 2 weeks. Hope I hear back soon 😅

    Those should be sufficient. Looks like the person didn't know what they were talking about! It's signed off on by a judge.

    You can apply for an expedited passport, should get a passport in time. I know if you live by a passport center they do 1 day passports
