  1. DS-160 Timed out on us about 7 times for no apparent reason. The form has java scripts all over so answers to some questions bring up other questions/options. But it keeps freezing and not resetting correctly. This is an embarrassment to USCIS/DOS. Tip: Save each page as you finish (before clicking to next page) it so that you can pick up from where you leave off if it times out on you. And save the application ID on the upper right hand corner.
  2. Sorry, I'm not disputing the DS-160. That's a given. But apparently, they require DS-260 also because Costa Rica considers a K-1 an immigrant visa. The State Dept and most embassies consider it a nonimmigrant visa.
  3. Check out this link, from the embassy website. It's for fiancee visa interview. I think if I remember from when my wife and I went through it, Costa Rica considers a K-1 an immigrant visa. https://cr.usembassy.gov/visas/immigrant-visas/fiancee/the-interview/ After you have completed the steps on the Immigrant Visa Process on usvisas.state.gov, including paying the necessary fees and submitting the required immigrant visa application form (DS-260), Affidavit of Support, and supporting documents to the National Visa Center (NVC), they will review your file for completeness. Once your case becomes qualified for an interview, NVC will work with us to schedule an interview appointment for you.
  4. That's strange because the instructions that she received from the Costa Rican consulate state on (page 9, attached) to bring the DS 260 confirm. Typo then? K1 Instructions CE.pdf
  5. Hi all, My son's fiancee is getting ready for her k-1 interview and working through the checklist that the embassy sent her. It's been a long time since my wife and I went through this process, so I don't remember the form numbers. but they mention both the DS-160 and DS-260 forms on the checklist in two different areas. I don't know if it's a typo or what. ( ) Each applicant must complete (in English) the on line Form DS‐160, Nonimmigrant Visa Application, in the following website: http://evisaforms/state.gov. When you have completed the form, print the Confirmation Sheet twice, this contains barcodes on the top right and button left side. To perform the medical examinations, each applicant needs to bring the DS 260 confirmation form and 7 2x2‐inch photographs. They will contact the embassy but any help would be appreciated in the mean time.
  6. Oh my god, this Other Way cast is messed up than any other we've seen. The chubby blonde chick from NYC wants to live in Manhattan but can't cut it in NY on her yoga class income, so she thinks that by moving to the Dominican Republic she'll be able to live her first world life there, but cheaper. Typical broke diva who wants more than she can afford and now expects him to pay for it. But in the end, she'll be paying for everything. Literally on her first day there, her wakeup call is starting that living there is not the same as vacation. The whole relationship is based on his desire for a green card to the US, and her big lie that she applied for his spousal visa when she did not, and has no intention of them going to the US. Her boyfriend opened a butcher shop in a typical 3rd world manner (meat on the hot counter with flies all over it, no bookkeeping, no systems in place. He is so proud of himself, and she starts nagging in a typical fashion about the lack of refrigeration, flies, not knowing revenues vs expenses. The train is coming fast on this one. The hippie flower girl who is 38 and is working food delivery tells you all that you need to know. She went on a trip to Egypt, met a guy, talked online, and went back in a couple of months and married him and moved there. She hated everything about it. And they fought over all their differences (Muslim customs- clothing, contact with other men, etc) so she left him and came back to the US. And in typical fashion these days, she blocked him on social media. Very mature response. But then she decided that she loved him and is going back to move there even though she knows that she will hate it there and they will constantly fight. Another train has left the station and is picking up speed down the track. There's Jen, the 46 year old, multiple time divorcee with manly facial features going to India to marry a guy that hasn't even told his family about her. No red flags there. He's some kind of model, trainer, or something. Has long hair and looks like a typical diva. She seems desperate and is willing to accept anything. Her friends are telling her valid reasons why it will fail like her other marriages, but she doesn't listen. She won't follow him on social media because she "trusts" him but the reality is that she doesn't want to see anything and is just having blinders on. One of her friends proposes a test where she will message him pretending to be a woman from England. She did and he didn't reject her messages or tell her that he's involved. But she just shrugs it off like no big deal. Like I said, very desperate. This train is racing the train with the NYC woman for which will crash first. A 40-something mother of 2 (both adults) who was married before is now going to Colombia to marry and live with a Venezuelan woman. I think these 2 are most normal, which isn't saying much with this group. There's a transgender that used to be a woman but now is a man who is going to Colombia to live with a woman with 2 kids. She knows that he's trans and is ok with it but her conservative catholic parents don't know. This will be most interesting to watch in my opinion. The trans guy seems cool, other than doing gay pride parades in his underwear on the streets in his hometown BY HIMSELF. There's still a 70 year old that looks 90 going to be with a mid 20-something in Morocco. They didn't show much about them, but I see the train lights on this one too.
  7. What did you find amazing about them? Just another crop of misguided, naive, gullible, stupid, immature people who are completely mismatched with their significant other. But fun to watch and laugh at.
  8. Those are CIS approval times. My question is the wait AFTER NOA-2
  9. My son got his fiance's petition approved in Dec 2022 (mailed Oct 2021). My question is about the timelines these days for the wait remaining till the interview. The embassy in question is San Jose, Costa Rica. Thank you.
  10. Then Caesar got destroyed because he tried to say that he didn't want an American woman, without explicitly saying so, but he has a hard time saying the right thing. But Tim defended him well I thought, translating well.
  11. Single life tell all Caesar says that it didn't work out with the girl he chose in his Mr Peanut tuxedo, but he met 2 Ukrainian women online and they fell madly in love with him, and want to come to the US (they have tourist visas already) and live with him together and have babies. He hasn't lost his sense of humor. Then Natalie loses it. Starts some unhinged rant about Caesar disrespecting her country. That woman has real psych problems, and not even joking. That old hag Debbie is annoying as hell. No wonder her own kid is fed up with her. She is judging everybody and has an opinion about everything.
