  1. First time dealing with unwritten rules, just wanting to gather information. If you are that tired you should get some sleep Thank you for your input
  2. She does not work in Indonesia
  3. She is a world traveler and has saved for traveling, we traveled from SW to SE US, not repetitive at all and now want to travel up north when it warms up. We traveled in my rv and I payed most of the expenses.
  4. No, but she saves her money for travel and was traveling with me in my rv, and of course I pay most of the expenses. And as I said, I am retiring in 18 months, we were going to travel the US as much as possible before that happens.
  5. Has nothing to do with what we want, just trying to find out about the unwritten rules of a visa and don't want to have to guess when it is safe to return. Thanks for chiming in......
  6. Yes very different lol Thank you for explaining I will just take the hit and retire early, no sense in guessing when it is safe or not to return.
  7. If married to an Indonesian citizen I can get a ITAS good for multiple entries for one year, after that a ITAP good for 5 years and can renew every 5 years.
  8. Yes, that is why I am asking here, trying to find out the unwritten rules of her visa......
  9. Well it won't be an issue in 18 months, I will be retired in Indonesia where we will get married and I will get an ITAS. Will take a few weeks and give me a one year stay, after that I can get a ITAP, good for 5 years, so simple cut and dry....
  10. So one 4 month visit is suspect for immigrant intent? So her past travel history and honoring all her visas has no weight on travel, she has had 3 Schengen visas and more and honored them all.
  11. Again, we want to travel here as much as possible before I retire and we both live in indonesia, no sense in going thru getting a greencard, I will be retired way before then.
  12. She is not living here, I am retiring in 18 months to live in Indonesia, we want to travel as much as possible here before that. We traveled from SW US to SE US and have proof of the many places we have been, our next travel plans were to go to Yellowstone and surrounding places. If you think there are not many unique places in the US you have not traveled. We are not looking for status change, what is the point, we will be living in Indonesia.
  13. Actually yes so people know exactly where they stand, when I go to indonesia I know I have 30 days and can extend for another 30 days then have to leave the country.
  14. One final food for thought. I was recently in El Paso, Texas, when I reached down town I could not believe my eyes, it has turned into a tent city of illegals, they are flooding across the border to the tune of 1,500 a day just in the El Paso area. But yet my girlfriend follows all laws and honors all visas and now has to wait 8 months before returning so she does not raise any red flags........ how many red flags are on our border? I will just take the hit and retire early, I see now why immigration is such a disaster here. Even in Indonesia it is written in black and white the length of stay for each visa.
  15. If it is not for 4 to 6 month visits why give 6 month stays? This makes no sense to me, they decide how they feel, should be more cut and dry so people actually know what the rules are even if they are no written rules..... She has traveled to 27 countries and has honored all visas over the years, nothing like this in any other country.
