  1. My wife is from Marinduque, philippines. It's and island down south of manila. We have to take a bus for 4 or 5 hrs. to a port, and then take a ferry for 3 hrs to get to her province. The island is inland, surrounded by other land, and not in the open ocean.
  2. Thanks sarge. I was beginning to think it would never happen. We are just shy of 27 months. I think citizenship will be a piece of cake compared to this wait. I'm so glad to be done with all of this for a while.
  3. Finally!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! We got an update today. On May 7, 2024, we ordered your new card for Receipt Number --------- and will mail it to the address you gave us. Hooray!!! It's over finally! I wish the best of luck to everyone still waiting. We were at potomac service center. They had they longest waiting period of all of the service centers.
  4. yeah I believe United started nonstop to Manila from San Francisco as of October of last year so that definitely be a good option for you to check out. I'm in the know because my wife's relatives work for United out there in San francisco. haha!
  5. Just a thought, but my wife and I went to the philippines last yr., and we went philippine airlines. We took delta to LA, and then philippine airlines direct to manila. I believe united airlines has nonstop from san francisco to manila now as well. So there are ways to avoid landing in other countries if you want. My wife had zero issues with her 4 yr. extension letter.
  6. yep, in the same boat. last notification from USCIS was February 9th of 22 that fingerprints were being reused so we are going on 2 years we're at 23 months right now. we are Potomac service center which says processing time is 31 months so I guess on the positive side hopefully we don't have too much longer to wait. hold in there buddy well we'll get there eventually hopefully.
  7. we are January of 2022 so we're about it 23 months now approaching 2 years here very shortly. we have not applied for n400 like others so I guess that's maybe why we are waiting longer. it definitely seems like if you apply for citizenship for some reason that knocks lose your i-751 and speeds things up. we are at Potomac service center to where the current processing times are 31 months. on the positive side we only have seven more months to go I guess if 80% of cases are adjudicated within 31 months. haha!
  8. Nothing here either We applied on 1/19/22. We are at potomac service center. Not doing n400 either.
  9. yes my friend I realize that, but I am just hoping it's in the ballpark a little bit.
  10. that's great to hear! I'm glad some people are finally getting their 10-year card. my wife and I applied about a week after you last year on the 19th of January. we are Potomac service center though. I hope we hear something soon. the Visa journey timeline for approval has been pretty consistent lately it's saying about the 16th of August for us. I know that's not the government it's an average of Visa journey users, but it is quite hopeful that maybe we will find out something soon.
  11. I don't think so. My wife is fine with waiting it out for the 10 yr card. Maybe if we are still waiting this time next yr. we might consider it.
  12. I just got home from work and checked the mail. We got our extension letter today to. It's not the most exciting news, but what are you gonna do.
