  1. It was better than I expected, I was pretty nervous. Had an appointment at 10am, got there about thirty minutes before and was actually called in about ten minutes before my time. The Officer was very friendly, took my photo and fingerprints first. Then we did the civics test, I got the first six right so she stopped (as you only need six out of ten ). Next I read a sentence, wrote one then she just went through my n400 form with me. Got to the end and she told me she was pleased to inform me that I’d be recommended to become a citizen and that they would send me a date and time for the oath ceremony in the post. Whole thing took about 20minutes, and I was back in my car and heading home by 10:15am. About ten minutes into the journey I got an email saying my case had been updated and that turned out to be my appointment for the oath ceremony. Overall a much better experience than I expected and it feels like a weight has been lifted. Seems quite odd to be approaching the end of a long journey!
  2. I had my interview on Saturday (18th) in Philadelphia, all went well and my Oath ceremony is on June 11th. When I left my interview they said I’d receive a letter however not ten minutes later I had an email saying there was an update to my case. So I checked online and the letter was there. 😊
  3. I applied at the end of March (25th) and had the choice of using either the 3 or 5 year rule. Started applying under the 3 year but changed it mid application to the 5 year one as when uploading evidence I realised how much less it would need. Heard within a day that they will reused my biometrics and have an appointment scheduled for May. Way quicker turnaround than I was expecting!
  4. I applied online on the 25th March, just received an email saying there’s an update on my case. Turns out I have an interview set already for May 18!
  5. Thanks for the reply. I finally got through to someone at USCIS. They wouldn’t cancel my appointment over the phone but they were able to give me my PIN number. So I’ve managed to do it. Odd that they had the PIN but I couldn’t access it but at least it’s sorted and hopefully if anyone else has the issue they now know to call and ask for the pin to cancel it.
  6. Can anyone help? I have an infopass appointment which I no longer need as they sent me a 48 month extension letter. I’m trying to cancel it but it says I need a PIN number from my appointment letter. Well there’s no PIN number anywhere to be seen on my letter, if I go back and view my appointment I still don’t see a PIN number. Doesn’t seem to be any other way to cancel it, they won’t cancel it on the phone. Can anyone shed any light on where I might find my missing PIN number? thanks
  7. Yeah, I’m going to cancel my appointment. I don’t need it now I have the 48 month letter and hopefully me cancelling means someone else can get in.
  8. I filled in December 2020, got an 18 month extension, then a 24 month one. All organised to go and get a stamp in my passport next week for an extra year. Extremely surprised to receive a 48 month extension letter today! Guess they aren’t just for recent filers. Now to phone on Monday to cancel my appointment on Tuesday 🙄. Good thing the post didn’t get delayed! Lol
  9. So I called to make an appointment for a stamp in my passport. They were very helpful, called me back the same day and my appointment is set for next week. However today I had a new extension letter arrive, I had an 18 month one, then a 24 month one. Now I have 48 months! Great…I don’t mind that at all. Although I now need to cancel my appointment lol. Also don’t understand why I wasn’t notified of any post heading my way, all signed up online so that’s weird. Still I have another two years for them to look at my paperwork so that’s fine by me. Especially as I can now get my driving license sorted.
  10. Yes I’m still waiting. My two year extension letter runs out next month, so I will be calling to get a stamp. My driving license will run out at the same time so need to get a stamp to renew that. It says you can phone 30 days before the extension runs out so i can call next week. It’s all very frustrating, like never ending waiting. Hope you’ve had some luck.
