Also, did you get an initial email from Montreal to send your P3 documents or did you just send them before?
Thanks in advance

I sent it in again today and got a response! I was able to book my interview!!!!!!
Congrats! Just curious, when did the consulate receive your paperwork? Been waiting for over 2 weeks for the consulate to send P3. We've tried sending our documents twice now with no response. Hopefully, that means we are soon.

Yeah eh I haven't even gotten an email from the embassy telling me anything. I did get an email from NVC stating that my documentation had been sent off to the Montreal embassy though!
At least in my case the email from NVC saying the documentation was sent was about a week later than what the CEAC shows. I guess patience is a virtue! Hope we both hear soon. Good luck!

I haven't heard anything back yet at all just the no-reply from them!
It's been 2 weeks since they have had it. I guess I just have to keep waiting?
Same problem with us. The CEAC shows that they received our paperwork on June 27th and when I emailed the consulate to ask they said they have no record of our case. Here's to hoping they send P3 soon.

Thank you both for your help!

Looks like your fiance can use a Canadian license for up to a year per this source: http://blog.mass.gov/blog/living-in-massachusetts/moving-to-massachusetts-part-2-drivers-licenses-and-motor-vehicle-registration/
Thanks for that! I guess what I am wondering now is there the ability to get a MA state drivers license before the 12 month living period? According to this process her Canada license would be unusable the same day we are able to apply for a new license. Doesn't leave much wiggle room.

It appears in MA you are not allowed to apply for a drivers license until you have valid immigration status for 12 months. Will my fiances Canadian drivers license be sufficient to drive in the US during this waiting period?

Hi all,
I had a question in regards to my fiance obtaining a MA state drivers license when entering the country. Will her Canadian license be valid upon entering the US and if so how long? What will she need to obtain a new drivers license and when? I have been trying to find answers to this, but nothing seems to be clear cut.
Thanks in advance for you help

What do you mean extreme social media/telephone vetting? Can you elaborate?
I've heard that officials at consulates have asked applicants for all associated telephone numbers they have used, all social media accounts they have ever used to be vetted. Not sure if this is true or if anyone has run into this.
-
I am hearing rumors that they are starting to do extreme social media/telephone vetting at the consulates. Has anyone had an run ins with this at the Montreal consulate?

Sorry if it's been asked before, but has anyone had to report an Outside of Normal Processing Times inquiry? If so. what exactly happens? I received my NOA1 on NOV 7 on old site and Nov 9 on new site. Is the case expedited, can I call multiple times if no movement is made on the case? I am able to call and report abnormal processing times on June 5th.
A little discerning seeing that I am seeing other NOA2's being received from Canadian applicants from a month prior to when we applied. Any information would be greatly appreciated.
