  1. Hi everyone, I have an infant son who was born overseas in Mar 2023. I am US citizen. I applied for his CRBA in my home country but it was denied since I didn't complete 5 years of physical presence in US. Then I filed I-130 online for my son in Oct 2023 and the case is still under review. I wonder should I upload the CRBA denial letter as supporting evidence since I read in the forums that one minor's I-130 was rejected by USCIS as they were asked to apply for CRBA. Please provide your thoughts. Thanks in advance.
  2. right we can only assume the agent was sympathetic (which is very rare). Anyways moral of the story is don't lose hope, keep trying again and again. Thank you.
  3. So what exactly helped you. I think they are more kind of operators without much access to the files, did you used Typographical error enquiry option? or filed I-129? What triggered the approval?
  4. G Great! Congratulations. This seems some miracle which is rare. I have contacted the Emma chat and to live agent on phone hundred times but they say same thing - write a letter to expedite. nothing they do. Do you ask them to expedite the I-824 processing or say transfer I-130 to NVC? Becz they ask for applicant incase I provide them I-824 details and just hang up the phone. What specifically you say? TIA
  5. Hi HKAA, does your I-824 got approved? How I-130 sent to NVC without I-824 being processed? Can you please provide an insight. Thanks in advance.
  6. We are in same boat, waiting for 9 months at Vermont service center, yet no signs of approval
  7. Right. They are not eligible for VWP. I only meant if someone else has any similar experience.
  8. Thanks @Boiler & @SalishSea for the input. I am facing a bit situation. I am US citizen and my wife is currently pregnant & we are expecting 2nd child in Sep 2024. She is in my back home country with my parents. For my 11 month old infant I have also filed the I-130 petition online in Oct 2023 and case is still under review. My wife's I-130 petition got approved in Jun 2023 but retained by USCIS since I made a mistake. Then I have filed I-824 for my wife in July 2023 and its 8 months now, no information yet. And adding to more misery, the case processing time at VSC increased to 19 months My wife is experiencing lot of mental stress as she is unable to take care of child as well as herself. She is having pregnancy complications. She wants me to come to home country but my job in US doesn't allow me to work at home. I am left with no option but to leave the job then go back to take care of my kid and wife. It would cause severe financial hardship. Q1) Can i write to USCIS to expedite my case on this situation, i understand its not life or death emergency case. But being in constant mental stress is severely impacting our health. Q2) Do you think my wife & my kid have chances for tourist visa based on this situation, seeing her pregnancy case & child care. She will say whatever the truth is. That she is waiting for I-824 , and it would take more than a year and she cant wait etc.. Is it worth taking chance? Q3) I have my child's I-130 petition under review. I was thinking to submit a letter in online portal requesting to expedite the child I-130 and mother's I-824 explaining all this situation. Is it good idea or bad? Since both cases are at VSC. I really apologize for the long story, but stress is unimaginable. Kindly provide your wise thoughts. Thanks in advance. GBU all. Q3)
  9. Hi , Does anyone can suggest if I can apply for visitor visa for my wife? Is it advisable? Will it impact the I-130 application?

  13. Hi I am in the same boat, filed I-824 in Aug 2023 , waiting since 6 months for notification.
  14. Thanks for the input. I do have active bank accounts, retirement account, health insurance. I am waiting for my wife's visa, so that I can move to US.
  15. I have been working remotely majorly, so I have been visiting US for shorter time. I am paying taxes, how else can I prove domicile? And does changing my address to different state will delay the processing?
  16. Thanks for the reply, yes I have been working in US and have been filing taxes for last 3/4 years.
  17. Hi members, I need some advice if anyone can please help. I am US citizen, I filed I-130 online for my wife (in Aug 2022) and separately for my parents (in Feb 2023). I have been residing in my home country primarily and visiting US for job purposes in NJ. I don't have permanent address in US and used my friend's address in Charlotte, Georgia for all petitions while filing as I used to live there in 2022. He moved out now. I recently received a document from USCIS for my father asking for my address in US. Queries: 1) If I change my address from Georgia to NJ, will it affect/ delay processing at this point of time? 2) Is it advisable to hire a lawyer in GA for keeping the address? Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.
  18. Hi members, I am in the same boat, filed I-824 in July 2023 after the I-130 approval for my wife and mother simultaneously at Vermont service center. Its been 6 months waiting, I hear nothing from USCIS. I wonder how much time time does it take to process and is their any way we can request to expedite. Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.
