  1. It's only been 10 business days (June 19 federal holiday). Give it some time.
  2. I don't think you can just bring a baby without a visa into the country as an LPR.
  3. Senator or congressman's aide working on federal matters for constituents should be your next step. They have direct line of communication with USCIS and can sort this out for you.
  4. You could try FOIA for your mother's A file - if she naturalized, it would be in there. Then you'd also want to get records from your mother's time in the US - school, doctor, work, and similar (baptism/christening if applicable). Then you want to see what rules were in place for getting citizenship through a parent at that time - sounds like your father was a USC? Same records search as for your mother but with a twist that you'd need him to recognize you since he's not on your birth certificate if you want to proceed to being recognized as a USC. This all will involve a lot of legwork, time, and possibly money with potentially needing some or all cooperation from your family members. Where were you born? I'd imagine DV lottery if you qualify would be one path to get to the US if you can't find solutions through family.
  5. Doubt it would be reopened. Have your wife prepare a new I-130.
  6. Why aren't you asking for assistance from your senator or congressman's aide dealing with federal matters? They have direct line with USCIS and can sort this out for you in no time. Figure out who your representative is, download the letter authorizing them to contact USCIS on your behalf and go see them first thing Monday morning.
  7. Not unless she wants to jeopardize getting naturalized at 3 year mark. Absences longer than 6 months could make it so she doesn't have enough time and potentially work against her when it comes to residency. My suggestion - naturalize, then go wherever and for as long as you want. Before that, limit time out of the country.
  8. Sounds like they issued the visa and are sending back the passport to you. Do advise if that's the case when you get the passport.
  9. As a K-1 applicant, you can opt out of any and all vaccines overseas. You just need to let them know you'll handle it at AOS medical. Then, when you're in the US, file the I-601 waiver for vaccines as part of your AOS.
  10. ~Two additional duplicate topics removed. One topic is enough.~
  11. Tax transcript takes about five minutes to get from irs.gov (I do it yearly).
  12. Guides tab on the top of the page. Most importantly, figure out how you'll pay for healthcare costs for your mother.
  13. So why isn't your sister DQ yet? Has she completed everything needed for NVC? Looks like they were looking through cases and noticed her PD is current but not completed in NVC so they'll try to follow up with you.
  14. They actually are now back to bringing more people back on and tackling the backlogs.
  15. Your local US Embassy - the Hague (or some other location if the Hague is not handling immigrant visas) will be where you'll interview for K-1. NVC will just forward your approved petition to the embassy to either schedule your interview or have your schedule your own interview. May want to look up information on the Hague embassy website.
  16. My sister went to SC and was "upgraded" to EV which she quickly declined and asked for regular gas vehicle.
  17. No she can not. This is F2A case, AOS is not possible as immigrant visa number is not readily available. Petitions filed in November 2021 is who has final action dates.
  18. Deadlines are the same for every category. How to stop it from being sent? Delay paying the DS-260 and any other payments until either a month before 1-yr deadline. Don't be so fast in submitting the required paperwork - without it, NVC will not documentarily qualify you - no DQ, no interview except in some special cases (problems with obtaining papers, or back and forth on if the sponsor qualifies).
  19. Well the worst case is they contact you to get a more current one. But sounds like you submitted one that's over 5 years old?
  20. Proof you were in the same location as your wife approximately 9-10 months before child was born? Medical paperwork from going to medical appointments with your wife? If you have none of this, then DNA test will be needed.
  21. Looks like you just added extra time to your petition before it makes it to NVC - via I-824. I'd double check the submitted petition to make sure it's not a USCIS error. If not an error, you have another form to file with extra $$ and time.
