  1. Only if you do it within the first 5 minutes. No go after that time.
  2. Come clean, re-do ESTA and then book an appointment for B2. Hope for the best but there may be a ban involved. You won't know until you interview. Why would you even consider continuing to lie?
  3. Oh I get it now - saw the other topic. OP, you're not going to get B1/B2 when you have VWP privileges you can apply for - don't even go there as if they refuse you your VWP goes bye bye. Stick to visiting on VWP for under 90 days and make it work. And no, VWP is for visiting, there's no living in the US allowed.
  4. Why not trying to get status update through the online chat Emma? Maybe that triggers some movement. It’s about 3 months average to get the green card produced and sent out. Your immigrant visa has turned into temporary green card for one year after being processed at POE.
  5. Hopefully someone sends this topic link to consular in Casablanca and Rabat so the poster is flagged.
  6. Wow, that’s a big increase. Times have definitely changed. I doubt that K-1s will disappear given high volume K-1 embassies like Manila. I’ve always advocated for spousal visa, it just makes more sense and provides better options for beneficiary when it comes to work, travel, and definitely faster time to naturalization. (We had $190 - DCF I-130 in 2006, I think I-751 was under $400 in 2009, and N-400 in 2010 under $600? - been a while. Both I-751 and N-400 from start to finish in under 3 months Chicago field office. GC issuance was free (part of immigrant visa processing - perhaps a share of immigrant visa processing? but no way to know if you’ll ever get one in real life - I never got the first one and had to go congressional route to get it issued.)
  7. Admin processing is normal part of process. If all is fine (that’s why they kept her passport) they’ll issue the visa soon.
  8. And at 20 you're an adult. You don't have a path to immigrate based on listed relatives. Even if adoption were possible, it wouldn't count for immigration purposes - you're about 4 years too late for that. Go to school, get an education, get a job with a US company in UK and then try the work visa route.
  9. I wouldn't get your hopes up - there's no legal basis to approve the expedite even if USCIS approves it, the visa number is not available. If you haven't already, get the adult family member(s) ready to participate in diversity visa lottery come October/November.
  10. File before deadline and wait for RFE. By the time RFE arrives, you'll have divorce decree in hands. You could even file tomorrow - check the divorce option. You'll get the 24 month extension before they get you an RFE. Once you know which office has your file, you can proactively send a copy of divorce decree while waiting for RFE.
  11. Are you in the US and able to go to the oath ceremony?
  12. Which country are you traveling from and where to?
  13. Everyone I-130 was filed for should also play DV lottery if they qualify for it. Costs nothing to register.
  14. Depending which ESTA country OP is from, he potentially could play DV lottery and try his immigration luck that way come October/November 2023.
  15. Have you checked the travel warning for Venezuela and you still want to travel? https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/international-travel/International-Travel-Country-Information-Pages/Venezuela.html Last Update: Reissued with updates to health information. Do not travel to Venezuela due to crime, civil unrest, poor health infrastructure, kidnapping, and the arrest and detention of U.S. citizens without due process or fair trial guarantees. Exercise increased caution in Venezuela due to terrorism and wrongful detentions.
  16. ~Topic merged with the previous topic on the same matter.~ You really should've listened and slowed down your own case until the child's case catches up. Ask for your own interview to be postponed until child's case is ready for interview. And be smart and don't do medical until BOTH cases are ready for interview otherwise you'll just throw money away.
  17. You were told what to do back in September, so why keep asking the same question?
  18. Why not call the delivery service and ask them about it?
  19. You just go update the SSA with the immigrant visa status and you get the updated version of your existing SSN.
  20. ~Post split from an old topic and made into its own. Not wise to resurrect 8 year old threads...~
  21. Provide all the information asked for on the form, why wouldn't you? There are steps to renew by mailing in or even online. You should go with the one that works best for you.
  22. So based on this you know what you need to do yet you're asking the same question again?
  23. No. And fyi overstay in your category is NOT forgiven so make sure to comply with allowed length of stay as determined by CBP or you will lose your chance to ever immigrate to the US.
