How do I even begin to tell you about the love of my life. I guess I start by saying I met my fiancé over 4 years ago as a student on a brief two week stay in Cuba. He was one of the escorts for our group as we toured different parts of the community. To this day I still remember the firt time I saw him in that gray and black stripped shirt. The funny thing is I thought nothing more of it besides this will become one of my good friends. Well, that is exactly what happened over time... we became close friends even from the get go and things slowly developed into a serious relationship. I guess it is the classic best friend turns to boyfriend thing where neither expresses their true feelings for a while because of fear of losing a good thing in the friendship. Well I finally took the step and confessed my love for him... which he too was feeling. So from there we took more time and waited to see where things went, until finally in January 2006 that we met up in Cuba again for two weeks together. That is when officially the relationship began, on the first day of my stay... but when you know you just know. And let me tell you that we have known for a while now we wanted to start our lives together, just didn't know the easiest way to do this. So we are applying for the K-1 Fiance visa and pray all goes well. All I can say is this is completely God's doing and He is the one keeping us strong and the one that we will forever serve together as husband and wife.
