Am sure NVC/embassy uses it for something. Just not something that we see/impacts your case at this stage.

Woo Hoo, finally got our interview date ! My stress levels keep going up and down here.  Ok time to breathe a little before the 24th comes.  

I just sent P3 to the Embassy. I checked everything at least three times but I'm still wondering if I sent everything

^ As a disclaimer to my previous statement, each embassy handles this part of the K-1 Visa process differently. So, while this may be the case in the U.K., it may not work the same way in other countries! 

That's great that your fiancé was able to book his medical! I'm so sorry the wait is so long at this point. It sounds like there's been about a 5-week wait lately at Knightsbridge. My fiancé called to book his medical the day we received our NVC case number, so that's how we were able to get the August 8th date. I do feel like things seem to speed up from here, though, and we're all much closer to being done with the K-1 visa process than we were before! (That's what I tell myself to keep from going crazy 😂)
 
We got a notification that the NVC sent our case out to the Embassy in London on July 24th. The good news is that the Embassy will receive both an electronic file of your case, and a physical file, but they only need to have received the electronic file in order for you to book the interview! So, my fiancé completed his DS-160, paid the fee, and was able to book the interview because the electronic file had already arrived. So, I would definitely recommend giving that a try as soon as your NVC status changes in "in transit." Thank you Lord!!! My fiance received her visa today in Dumaguete in the Philippines 4 days after her interview!!! In about 3 weeks she should be finally home!!! 

Well, after 248 days and many months of waiting and 3 years being apart, my fiancee was approved!! So now the wait begins for her to receive her visa in the mail. Well so much stress and worry and now just knowing I can schedule her to come in mid September after receiving her visa. So thanks to everyone here who encouraged me and the many advice given to me as well and you too Jkelsey congratulations to you also so hope you will have a blessed and happy life together my friend!! To Greenbaum, thanks for you patience and friendship along the way and STILL we aren't done yet right? Blessing Everyone!!

Thanks again! That was incredibly kind and helpful of you! I really appreciate it! He's working on the DS-160 now, and should have it done soon, so I imagine he'll be able to book the interview any day now.

I can’t believe how fast this was, my file shows as “Ready”!!!  This is for Ciudad Juárez, Mexico... Now I’m just wondering if I can go ahead and schedule my interview or if I need to wait for pck3

most welcome. I felt okay doing this because i had a 4 week wait for my medical. must add that I wouldn't do that if my medical was 1 week later if you see what I mean?
