My husband and I had our AOS interview on 3/5/07 we were told the same thing. He would be approved but waiting on the name check from FBI. Told it could take 6 months but that he checks every two weeks to see if anything yet. So, we just sit and wait and wait and wait. Which is what the INS does best I suppose.

I hope someone can give me some info on this. My friend has filed for the lifting of conditions on her green card. She left her husband a couple of weeks ago (abusive relationship). I know this and have seen it myself personally. He has threatened to have her sent back to her home country if she does not return to him. Can he doe this? What recourse can she have to be able to stay in this country but not with him. There have never been any police reports or anything like this so what can she do?

Also, they are asking for nonimmigrant visa number. Where do I find this in his passport visa page? This is soooooooooo frustrating. Also this is a K3 visa.

Filling out forms for I-485. It is asking for I-94 number. Does anyone know where this number is located on the departure/arrival record?
