  1. I agree. I think I need to. It will demonstrate that I at least tried to correct it. Do you know of any cases where this became an issue? Is there a question that I have to answer on the N400 about this and say I accidentally marked it? Perhaps I am overthinking?
  2. I have an accountant to who files my taxes. I found out that last year he marked me as a US citizen on business taxes 1065. I am making sure that does not happen this year. Do I need to possibly amend last year taxes to reflect correct citizenship? How problematic is this going to be when I apply for naturalization? This was an honest error on both my and my accountant parts. Tax return documents are very long and it is hard to read every single line...
  3. Reach out to you local congressman and schedule Infopass asap.
  4. Not everyone naturilizes. This approach has many flaws. They need to scrutinize marriage based adjustments more and just get rid of ROC.
  5. Realistic facts: If you file I-751 ASAP NOA and the extension letter come within 2 weeks or so (more times than not). Biometrics will likely be reused. if all goes well and you get the extension letter you will then make a copy of it and mail the original to her via secure shipping method. She will then be good to travel back. Make sure she does not stay out more than 1 year or else she may risk problems at the border. They key here is to file ASAP. There are too many things to go wrong. good luck.
  6. Based on the answer OP provided unless the separation/divorce began before the GC was issued there should be no problems. USCIS will scrutinize a bit more but given that OP entered marriage in good faith it is VERY likely to lift conditions. Now, if the separation or divorce happened before the GC was issued and the OP failed to notify the USCIS then this may become a huge problem. When OP applies for I-751 and produces separation/divorce papers this will be an issue if the USCIS officer notices it. OP has not been upfront with all the facts therefore we cannot help.
  7. You need to fill out the privacy release form, also draft a letter about what you are asking. Once you have that email or fax it to them. Make sure you call their office first so they can give you the right email or fax number. If you have not done this yet, I would highly recommend submitting a Case Request with the USCIS ( given that you are eligible) and include the SR number in your letter. it may be a coincidence but I got approved in one month after following the above described steps. Good luck!
  8. No offense here and congrats in getting close to the end of the immigration journey, but it sounds like you just attend both and call it a day. I only read the title. You are welcome and good luck.
  9. Congrats! It look like YSC began approving cases from late 2020. I got approved 10 days ago. Filing date was 7/30/2022.
  10. It is a standard message. It means nothing other than them telling you that you do not need to go for biometrics.
  11. Years ago I had a similar situation when I had my EAD card (not even I-551 stamp which is far better). I politely provided the employer with the link from the USCIS website where it lists acceptable documents, highlighted relevant place and were firm stating that the DHS/USCIS government entity has granted me official right to work. This got the message across and the HR realized the potential lawsuit danger. I was hired the next day..
  12. I did. I hired an attorney, had the divorce decree and filed in July of 2020. Took a total of 28 months and got approved without an interview. From what I understand interviews are more likely with waivers but I have also seen plenty of people here get approved without. Good luck and sit tight. It is gonna take a minute.
  13. Got a text message and also an email last night at 2AM. Card was mailed to me.
  14. Sounds like a threat. If you have messages/emails etc why not call up the policy and get a restraining order? That should get him back to his senses.
  15. Exactly a week ago on 12/12 my status updated with "New card is being produced". On 12/13 the status changed to "Case was approved". I got I-797 approval notice in mail on 12/17. So far no word about card being mailed/picked up by the USPS. From what I read most people got their card delivered in under 1 week. Could there be any issues with printing the card?
  16. Why would you ever bring up your parents' occupation or where does it even come up? Sounds like you were a minor with no control over where the money came from. You are making a very easy case extremely difficult. This is baffling to be honest.
  17. 28 months of waiting has come to an end!!!! I had put 2 SR and also reached out to my local congressman. After about a month got approved without an interview with a waiver case!!!
