  1. I apologize if this question came off as "STUPID". I was merely curious if there is a different process for my wife to enter Vietnam with or without a (tourist) visa as she's now a permanent resident of the US. I would much rather get this question answered or remedied prior to getting stuck at either border ports. If the consensus is... she's fine to enter Vietnam when we visit without a Visa as she's still currently a Vietnam Citizen by default and then re-enter the US as a Permanent Resident then Thank you for reassuring my thoughts!
  2. Thanks all! Passport renewed and flights booked! New Question specifically for Vietnam (not sure if there's a difference) travel. Does she still have to apply for a Visa? Is it any different then me applying as US Citizen/Passport holder?
  3. So we've been looking at the Vietnam Consulate Website for information on Renewing her passport. So far the website is not much help. Calling only has prompts for Visa information and we haven't been able to talk to anyone. Next will be to attempt an email. Here's what we've gathered so far. 1. Downloaded and fill out application 2. Two recent Passport Photo 3. Expired Viet Passport (not sure if they want just a copy or the actual passport) 4. ? fees, website instructions mention fees but does not give a link or fee schedule 5. I believe there's a part to send Viet IDs, not sure if this is really needed? 6. US Greencard, not sure if they want a copy or the actual (pretty reluctant to send the actual card...) 7. Send along return envelope I think there's more questions but can't think of them now... Anyone have gone through this? Please help?
  4. @Chancy Thank you! That's a very good point, I didn't think about!
  5. @OldUser Very good points! Thank you.
  6. Thanks all! I appreciate the feedback! I understand some of these questions may be "no brainers" but I'd rather ask them before getting stuck at either borders. Any other advice or prep work that I may not have thought about but should?
  7. @Crazy Cat She has not applied for Citizenship yet. Was mainly concern about what is needed when exiting and entering US ports. Follow-Up ?... She's technically still a Vietnamese Citizen so would she still have to apply for Visa to enter Vietnam?
  8. @EmilyW I'm gonna check tonight to see if her passport is still valid. In case it has expired, what are her/our options?
  9. @Boiler that is correct, she does have her Green Card
  10. My wife is now a Permanent Resident as her Removal Of Conditions was approved this last year. We'd like to travel to visit her family next year with the kids. As I'm applying for Passports for the kids, I realize she's not yet a US Citizen so we can't get a US Passport for her. I've been researching online what we need to do (documents, fees, ect) to prep for next years trip. Those that have gone through this, can you help? Originally we did apply for Advance Parole (during her K-Visa status) but that has expired and we never traveled during that time. Do we need to apply? Does the Re-Entry Permit come into play? I did read that the ReEntry Permit was only for Permanent Residence to travel for more then 1 year, we don't plan on staying more then 1 month. Any advice would be helpful, Thank you !
