Too long to write the whole story. Basically, met my now fiancee' in Villavicencio on April 27th, 2006. I went to Colombia again on June 20th, and lived with my fiancee' for 4 months. Because of troubles with my renters here in the US, I had to come back on October 17th this year. I sent my petition in; in late June. Then, I found out my lawyer used an outdated form. So, I had to send that form back in. Late August, we got all of the paperwork back saying I had not paid. (USCIS lost my check) So, our petition didn't get accepted until September 27th. I am now being tortured by this long process. From what I can tell, my fiancee' won't even get an interview until April-ish 2007 ... and that is if we do not have any more setbacks. I can't believe how hard and long this process is.
