  1. It's definitely frustrating to have so many delays with a service we have to pay for, only for uscis to then just sit on the case for years until you pay for citizenship or they decide it's finally taking up too much desk space. seeing other people getting RFEs on cases from 2+ years ago for things they submitted at the time because the evidence provided is out of date (or worse, lost) is frustrating too - there seems to have been a fair bit of that lately.
  2. Nothing here yet, but like you I'm expecting it to be delayed even more- can't even make any enquiries until October. Maybe we'll get lucky though and we'll get news in the next few weeks.
  3. ...good to know I'm 21 days away from being outside the norm. Though I apparently can't make enquiries until the end of October because uscis need that extra couple of months I guess 😩
  4. Congratulations! Hoping that means mine will also happen any day now!
  5. There are a lot of people filing this year who are actually getting their cases reviewed and approved within a few months (unlike those of us who filed back in 2020/2021/2022 😅). At the end of the day, you can choose to ignore USCIS guidance and potentially annoy whomever looks at your case, or you can follow USCIS guidance. Personally, I'd follow their guidance - they're just going to take your file apart anyway, and it'll end up messy on their desk.
  6. It's right there in the text; they scan and upload everything into a digital file - having dividers, holes, staples etc gets in the way of all of that and slows everything down.
  7. Yeah, I got mine a little while ago now, would have much preferred a case approval of course! I hope you can get it sorted and a new extension letter in hand.
  8. Hmm, I would consider reaching out and letting them know you haven't received the updated extension letter. It might have gotten lost in the mail. The most recent approvals people have posted about for Potomac are from December 2020, so we're still in for at least another couple months of waiting (I am a March 2021 filer, but have the same status as yours as of June 2021).
  9. I'm a March 2021 filer also in YSC - same situation as you; last I heard was biometrics in June 2021. Hopefully we hear something within the next few months~
  10. Also a K1 originally. March 2021 filer. I don't know if original visa matters though; other service centres just run faster than potomac.
  11. Hmm now that you mention it, I did see something recently about them updating the green card - might be that causing the delays in production. Especially considering it took them a while to send out the new extension letters and this was released at the same time; https://www.uscis.gov/newsroom/news-releases/uscis-redesigns-green-card-and-employment-authorization-document Definitely going to hope it's that causing the extended delays but...it's also USCIS. 😂
  12. They like to keep moving the goalposts. Same with these 48 month extension letters - it allows them to leave our I-751s to gather dust. Maybe one day we'll all get approved...
  13. Yup, got my 48 month extension too; two days short of my 2 year filing anniversary 🤣 (March 2021 here)
  14. Looks like mine is arriving today; it also has Lees summit, MO on the return address envelope. I'm assuming that's just where they're coming from for ysc filers.
  15. Potomac Service Centre; slow on cases AND the extension letters 😩Though I guess those of us stuck in YSC processing should be glad that it isn't going to take two years for the extension letter to come. 😂 ...Let's hope I haven't just jinxed myself.
  16. No need to be concerned; in this case your husband is the beneficiary, and he's petitioning to have the conditions removed on his green card. You filing jointly is confirming you're still married and that nothing has changed there (i.e. divorce etc). It's exactly the same with me (I'm the beneficiary/petitioner), and my husband (the USC).
  17. Was your original NOA1 a 24 month extension on your greencard? They're sending out new 48 month extensions for everyone so it could also just be that.
  18. March 2021 filer here, also still waiting for my extension letter 😂
