I agree with @OldUser above. Consider the CBP officer being nice and allowing them to enter with a warning in this case. Guarantee there are notes in their records now, and if either one of them leaves again within say about 6 months, the niceness will disappear on their return, and the things old user mentioned above will probably come into play. They or one of them can apply for a reentry permit, and make sure not to leave until Biometrics is done. But there is risk involved with that also as they will have to stay out of country until permit is approved ( 12 months), and if not, could face hurdles returning for sure.

I just checked the approval notice that arrived in the mail, and it is WAC, so maybe it was just the timing if they are in November 2021.

Funny thing, I-751 was just approved, card in the mail as of December 1st. Looks like your right. N400 interview will be coming soon.

Filed for my wifes I751 back in November of 2021, Just filed for her citizenship (N400) on the 19th of November this year, only 20 so days ago. All of a sudden.... Bam! I-751 approval, and card in the mail all in the same day! Probably get the interview notice for the N400 next week. Don't know how USCIS is all of a sudden fast tracking my cases, but I'll take it!!!

Congrats! I just filed my wifes N400, and am looking forward to the day I can post the exact same thing. I already pulled a permit from the city for a controlled burn of all the paperwork I have collected from the process. It's going to be a great fire, just have to get the smores ready.

Not sure about everything else, but as a Nevada resident, every time someone transfers to Nevada from California, the first thing they gripe about is how they miss Kaiser and how great it is. This is from many people over the 18 years I have worked at the same company. I have never seen anyone say Kaiser was bad. Just throwing that out there, I have never had Kaiser, but I know a lot of people who had it, and say it was great. As a note, arriving in the US is a life event for insurance companies, and triggers a 31 day period where you can enroll in healthcare. I have confirmed this with many companies ( Blue cross/ Aetna, etc) so you should have a month after arriving to sign up for healthcare.

She will have to petition him with an I130 ( Just did the same thing for my stepson and he arrived on the 9th). Since the child is under 18 you will probably need the other parents permission for the child to travel to the US, unless she has full custody already. She doesn't need citizenship to file as long as she is an LPR she can file for her child. My wife is just an LPR and we had no issues. We also waited and filed about a year before his 18th birthday, that way he was able to get his own passport, and was able to avoid any issues with his father not letting him leave the country. It was no issue, but I wasn't going to risk it. She can file the I130 all online, and it was really easy and straightforward. Should take 14-16 months for the child to have a visa, then child can travel to the US, and apply for citizenship after 5 years on his own. Age is the only factor that would change things. Child has to stay unmarried and be under 21 at the time you apply for the visa. to be safe, better child is under 21 when visa is issued. On the citizenship question, it all depends on Brazil and if they allow dual citizenship, a quick google search should answer that, but they more than likely do allow dual citizenship. Thousands of people go thru this same thing daily I bet. No one worries about this as much as you seem to be. As others have said, it is extremely rare to see an I864 enforced. Until the day comes that you get the subpoena in hand to show up and defend yourself against the federal government, I wouldn't worry about it, water under the bridge, just move on and it's not your problem anymore. Make sure you get a copy of the final divorce for your records is the only important thing.

Just throwing this out there, Cost to renounce citizenship is around 2200 dollars now, and takes over a year. I wouldn't mess with it personally, I have checked wrong boxes and answered stuff wrong all thru-out my life. I still sleep well at night and don't worry about it, will deal with it when it becomes a problem.

Just came thru LAX POE with a Immigrant visa holder. They got the I-551 stamp with A Number, and officer said give it 2-3 months for green card to arrive. If nothing after 90 days, call USCIS and give them your A-number and ask for status. Social Security card was printed on the 10th of November, day after arrival, and arrived at the house on the 17th of November, so SS card is processed really quick.

If your 13 months in, don't see it being much longer now. Maybe 4 more months, 6 at the outside. I wouldn't start getting crazy just yet, Everything takes forever with immigration. Took 14-15 months for the last I130 I did for my stepson, he just entered the 9th of November. My wifes I751 has been pending for over 2 years, we just filed her N400 for citizenship on the 19th of this month. Everything takes forever with the US government. Wait until she gets here and your trying to get the work permit and Advanced parole, save your energy for that fight.

For both my wifes K1 and my stepsons I130 we just did, they always added a 01 at the end of the NVC case number. With the K1 it was expected as her son would have been 02 if he was on the petition, but they did the same thing on his FX2 Immigrant visa. He was 01 at the end, I think the computer just ads the 01 to the principal case automatically, and would add 02 to the next derivative, the 03, etc.

Hopefully, wife has been studying for the test, and if it's a combo interview, so be it. Be good to get everything done early next year.

The case just updated this morning to uscis is actively reviewing your case, and the estimate did drop to 10 months from 16. The ROC should be approved any day now based on the other cases I have been following. If that gets approved without interview, then hopefully N400 interview won't be far behind.

I have tried to start the N400 application online, and get so far before an " Unable to retrieve your application" error pops up. Only get thru the first 2-3 pages. I exit to the home area, and see the pending N400 application in my profile, and when I try to continue it it takes me back to the error " Unable to retrieve your application". I have tried multiple browsers, and deleted the filing, and started over a few times with the same error showing up. Have only been trying for the past hour or so. Guess I'll wait until tomorrow to try it again. I am assuming it is an error on their end, as I have successfully filed other forms online with no issues ( Just completed I130 online, well, case is closed now, got the visa and everything, but that went very smoothly online). Just wondering if anyone filed N400 online and had this issue? Thanks in advance.
