I paid for the visa online when they were processing through Colombia, and the fee automatically transferred to Guyana. You can pay online at https://ais.usvisa-info.com/en-gy/iv when you are getting ready for the interview and register the date. You have to complete the DS 160 first.
oh okay, mine is in transit right now, I should wait till it says ready right?
btw thank you for the help

We needed all of the principal documents: birth certificate, background check (antecedentes penales), appointment letter, affidavit of support, etc. Pretty much everything other than evidence. We never received packet three or anything. Just an email with the interview date and time from the US embassy in Havana.
ahhh okay thank you so so much

We are currently in Guyana. The medical exam was yesterday, we were in the hospital for eight hours, but it went smoothly. We paid 223 USD for the medical. Tomorrow we have to return to the hospital to pick up the results. Our interview is Thursday morning, they will process the visa within 10 days, and we have our return flight to Cuba on the 30th. I highly recommend booking flights with Aruba airlines and finding housing with Cubans who are here working in importation. The pre-check at the US embassy is also extremely important. Please let us know if there are other questions.
What papers did you need for the pre check at the us embassy? did you wait till you got packet 3 to schedule your interview?

Thank you for the reply. Yes, I posted this before notice went out about the embassy change. Yesterday I received an interview date in Guyana.
Hello, i was wondering if i could ask you some questions about your process with the embassy? Did you go to Guyana? thank you in advance for your help.

Has anyone had there interview in guyana for a K-1 Visa?

Is anyone's fiancee from Cuba? I hoping someone could help me with which embassy to put on the DS-160. Do you still put Havana or do you just pick Georgetown?
Thank you

You have to show residency in any country you are trying to process through unless you have been instructed that your country is processed in another country. There are a few country's like that.
we don't need to show residency because of the special circumstances with cuba. they are processing the visas through Guyana

Edel, can you keep me posted on your process? if you have to go Guyana for the interview, if you can chose another embassy, I am on the same boat as you but from Feb.
Thanks!
Yes of course. we are going to go try to go to Guyana because it seems like they are making it easier to go there. There is already a direct flight every other day I believe leaving from Havana. i will try to keep you posted and how it goes.

Hey, everyone. I have been a lurker for a long time don't really write on here. But we got approved on the 30th and neither one of the websites updated. I randomly called uscis yesterday and they told me there was a decision on my case but couldn't tell me what it was. So when I got home I checked the new website and we were approved.
NOA1 24th. idk if this helps but i was approved the day after my congressman call to find out about my case.
i wanted to thank you guys for all the information on here. It helps so so much. Best of luck to everyone still waiting. I know I was going crazy with the anticipation.
