Hey, I recall when Trump was elected/sworn in, there were a lot of requirements for new immigrants applying for a green card to list if they'd ever used any United States public benefits. They also had to report a credit score, any degrees they'd earned, classes they'd taken, etc. I think it's been done away with, but with a Trump victory in 2024 well within the realm of possibility, what exactly are the restrictions on permanent residents receiving government aid, if any, as far as the USCIS and Department of State go? Hey guys- My wife came to the US on a K1 visa and got her conditional 2 year green card March 2021. We filed the ROC about a year ago and it's estimated it'll take until March 2025 to process it. However, since she hasn't moved in the past 3 months, has been married to me (US citizen by birth) >3 years, and has been a lawful permanent resident for >3 years, she's now able to apply for US citizenship. Should we wait for ROC to process or just get started on the N400? Thank you!
