  1. Yes, exactly that. I'm a bit of a noob, could you fill me in on what the earlier interpretation was?
  2. Hey, I recall when Trump was elected/sworn in, there were a lot of requirements for new immigrants applying for a green card to list if they'd ever used any United States public benefits. They also had to report a credit score, any degrees they'd earned, classes they'd taken, etc. I think it's been done away with, but with a Trump victory in 2024 well within the realm of possibility, what exactly are the restrictions on permanent residents receiving government aid, if any, as far as the USCIS and Department of State go? Thank you!
  3. Hey guys- My wife came to the US on a K1 visa and got her conditional 2 year green card March 2021. We filed the ROC about a year ago and it's estimated it'll take until March 2025 to process it. However, since she hasn't moved in the past 3 months, has been married to me (US citizen by birth) >3 years, and has been a lawful permanent resident for >3 years, she's now able to apply for US citizenship. Should we wait for ROC to process or just get started on the N400? Thank you!
  4. Just an aside, but I thought you only had to be a LPR for 3 years if you gained that LPR through marriage to a US citizen?
  5. Hi - I included the following in the ROC package to USCIS: 1. Complete and signed i-751 form 2. Signed and notarized affidavit from my Aunt stating our family has been living in her house (we do not have to pay rent and there is no signed contract) 3. Signed and notarized affidavits from my mom, dad, and younger brother attesting to know us, our marriage, and that it is real. 4. All bank statements from all 3 of our joint bank accounts. 5. Photocopy of wife's current green card, front and back sides. 6. Photocopy of our son's birth certificate, front and back sides. 7. Joint tax returns with both our names for 2020 and 2021 8. I THINK I included proof of 2022 and 2023 Health Insurance plans with both our names as well as our son's name, but I may have forgotten to include it as well because my wife found the copies at home after I sent the package :/ Anyway....I didn't include any photos and we don't have any joint mortgages, car loans, utility bill payments with both our names, and as stated I may have forgotten to include proof of our health insurance. We received the NOA1 and the check to DHS has been cashed. Is a lack of health insurance proof, photos, or those other financial things going to be a big hindrance???
  6. Hi - My wife's ROC package has been delivered to the Carol Streams, IL USCIS dropbox since this past Friday around 6 am, and no one has come to pick it up. There were a ton of papers so I had to use a box to send it all. Is it normal to take this long for them to pick up a package or is something wrong? Pretty sure this was the right place to send it because we live in Ohio. Thank you!
  7. 2 questions. 1. Does USCIS require all signatures, including those of any interpreters, to be "wet" signatures? That is, physically signed on the paper form you send them? Or is an electronic one ok, so long as it is the person's signature? 2. My wife, son, and I have been living with a relative for a while due to issues with my job. We don't pay rent nor do we have a rental agreement signed. The instructions for ROC ask for a rental agreement with both our names. Will this be a problem? We do have multiple bank accounts and a medical insurance policy in both our names as well as our son's birth certificate with both our names.
  8. Hey guys, Do I have to submit the biometrics fee again for the Removal of Conditions? I say "again" because my wife did the biometrics once already for her Adjustment of Status.
