You can try calling USCIS and speaking to a Level 2 officer.  Ask them if you have cleared your background check.   The regular customer service people won't be able to tell you this info, you have to request to be transferred to a L2 officer who can see your personal case info.

Thank you for this! I spoke to a customer service person and (after a long wait) a Level 2 rep, but they both were reading from a script and could not give me any good information. They put me on a call-back list, and after 4 hours a senior rep called me to let me know they investigated my case and noticed:

    1. USCIS uses many different systems when processing applications, and for a small number of applicants that were routed through a certain system (which includes me!) a glitch causes the current status to be delayed by one step on the DHS website, and delayed by two steps in the egov case status website, but it should not affect the progress of the case.

    2. My current status is actually in-line for interview, and has been since 7/28/2017. But (worryingly...), he said that even though the background check is complete, they may still request extra information or perform extra "pre-process checks" between now and my actual interview date, which could delay my case or reverse the current status.

They don't know when it will be fixed, but some google searching shows there are others with the same problem. I guess I need to stay close to my mailbox for the next few months!

  2. Hi Everyone!

I'm new here also. It's crazy to see that some of you have already become Citizens! Congratulations! And good luck to everyone else!

Could someone add me to the list:
Filed Online (Des Moines, IA FO)
    GC: 08/01/2011
    Sent/NOA: 07/04
    Cashed: 07/05
    FP: 07/24

I haven't heard anything about my case since then, unfortunately. When I check my case status on egov, it just says "My Biometrics Appointment Was Scheduled"; and when i login, the latest status (July 28, 2017) is "We reviewed your biometrics. You do not need to do anything at this time. We will let you know if we need anything else from you as we continue to review your application." Do you think it's worth doing an infopass since i'm still not officially even in line for interview, or should I just be patient wait it out?
