I got a response today... An RFE... I guess I'm glad I heard back but not thrilled about the RFE given that I went through a law office. 

I just run another quick scan of the beginning of the month and there are at least another 35 approvals. I thought you guys would like to know 

I'm running the scan now. I'll post the results as soon as they're ready 

My fiancé just got an email from Informed Delivery with an incoming letter from the USCIS, he doesn't get home until the night so I went to check online and our case was approved.
No update on the old system. NOA1 10/10/2017

Hello fellow October 2017 filers! 
 
IT HAPPENED TODAY!!!! I wanted to tell everyone the good news! I received my NOA 2 approval today via post. We began the process in September and received our NOA 1 Oct. 2nd. After a long wait, we finally received an approval! NOA 2 dated March 23rd! I was so surprised because I was updating the application everyday and I received my approval in the mail before it was update via case status on the Internet. The time is now October filers, you will receive a response soon!

Guess what October filers!!!! Tomorrow is April 1st AND from the way things look like they are going April is your month!! Yay!!!! I pray you all get NOA2 by mid April at the latest and your love muffins home with you by May/June at the latest!!!  The faster they get to yours, the faster they get to my beloved February!!! Praying for you all. 

Last time this happened when it was not an official holiday but people took a day off (or so we thought) was the day after thanksgiving, then we had a huge update next week 🤞🤞🤞🤞🤞🤞

If one has followed the previous months, they wouldn't be asking why USCIS is slow or fast. 
 
It baffles me when an October Filer starts complaining about NOA2 now. Seriously, at this point; we all should have it in mind that 'September is still in process'. 
 
@Trinab80 of May just got her NOA2.
 
@John & Rose of June  just got his NOA2.
@JSCGPV of July just got his NOA2.
 
The aforementioned people waited almost twice the days we are on now. We must be grateful that October Approvals started from Day 168,170... 
 
We can start questioning the NOA2 from mid April. With this, we don't need and have to break our legs. 
 
Let's all relax, keep still as usual, be happy for and with everyone. We have already waited for months for this. So, know that we are getting to the finished line. 
 
I will advise us to start researching on what we will have to do after NOA2. I've seen people asking what next when they got NOA2, because they failed to make some researches or ask questions before the NOA2.

They DID get to October 10.
Unfortunately this is how it works. 
November 16 (nope not 20 actually those were all received date 16ths) was a random occurrence this is a continuous occurrence.
 
You can go and read from May to September topics on how months move. And nope they are not going to stop and dwell on a day, they will continue.
So again they did got to October 10th. 
 
It is okay for you not to know and not to follow, but at least do not make assumptions without additional info.
 
How it works so you won't feel sad when they will continue from 10th (which will be the second time I write this actually...)
 
They start a date (nope not a month a date), most likely the busiest date of that week (usually a Monday or the next day after the holiday - in this case yep October 10th!!! because those dates have bigger numbers.) as those dates have bigger numbers they are statistically tend to show up more. 
 
So if you see for example a months first 2 days with more than 4 approval right after the month before finishes, then we consider it that month started (Yep this is just happening for months and months). Then it will continue, sometimes it will jump a few dates, which are most likely are not filled with 100s of applications. and this is the reason they may not appear (due to silent noa2s) or they will appear later in the game.
 
Nope, they are not suddenly approve 100s of a month let alone a date. So while the numbers for each date will go 30 % or more, they will continue the date. 
 
By the time November starts, October will be barely halfway. 
 
The first 2 weeks of November's start by the way is still weak for November. They tend to still go for the month before.
 
Actually if you think it as a date, let's say they are on a date and focused for example the last week of September. You can actually make a heat graph from there on both sides.
 
So Yes again they are on October 10th, these number statistically are pretty big for the start week, and that was the fastest someone ever complained when a month just started.
 
PS_ I am still laughing at the 95% of the 10 dates hearing something... because for that you will need to wait a goooood 3-4 months the least.

To tell the truth it is not even about my approval. I said the same things months ago, I said the same thing if someone would say a similar thing about a new month starting, and I will say it again if necessary. What we all need is compassion for each other, sympathy for each unique situation.
 
However, this was a little too quick...award winning level quick...
 
They got to October 10th in 3 days!!! If we start negativity now, what will we do when by chance your case is on the other end of the average.
And I just realized this is the first time I actually seriously looked at a possum......

Exactly! There is people waiting from even June! (Probably before too) let's keep the positive vibe like that, positive. I am going to call us octopuses BTW, so many versions for October filers that I made my own.
