    Hello,

Just wanted to report in our AOS: i-485 details:
    Date Filed : 2019-03-22 NOA Date : 2019-03-29 RFE(s) : 2019-06-13 Bio. Appt. : 2019-04-24
July 9, 2019: "case is ready to be scheduled for an interview".

We haven't received an appointment yet. I've read around it takes somewhere between 2-8 weeks, hopefully it comes soon.

We also received an RFE regarding a missing birth certificate, even though we had sent each form its own birth certificate copy. If anyone else has received an RFE for a missing birth certificate, just send another copy. Save yourself the headache of calling the UCSIC they just told us to send another one..¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Not sure what to think of this "missing birth certificate" phenomenon, as it's happen to a surprising amount of people.

    Stay strong everyone

    Edit: Spelling

As of sept 10th they also want a “criminal background check under the privacy act’, and this is a NON CERTIFIED record. When I was at the Commissionaires office here in Ontario, for mine, they read me the department of homeland security bulletin and it said that they(the US) is expecting non certified records. When I called the rcmp prior to going to the Commissionaires office, they too also said that it was an uncertified copy that the US is looking for.

a few of us on here have received them and they do state that it was done under the privacy act and that there were no results of criminal charges basically. Fingerprints get destroyed, and despite the fact they take your picture, no picture is on the form. Also, I don’t believe they even put their embossed logo on it.

I also had don’t the other background check in July that does come with your picture, and is certified. So, I have both...a few of us actually have both just to be safe.

Also, here is a link the consulate sent me with specific instructions on how to find the information.
    https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/us-visas/Visa-Reciprocity-and-Civil-Documents-by-Country.html

“Click on the “C” for Canada and then scroll to the police, court, and prison record tab” said the instructions.

    Hope this helps

    Hello everyone,

We got approved! Just for reference our RFE was due to a single question we missed. We completed the RFE and mailed it back the same day, still took around 4 weeks to get an approval. But nevertheless..

    NOA 1: Dec 26,2017
    RFE: Jul 30, 2018
    NOA2: Aug 29, 2018

Hope everyone else gets approved soon.

    Hello,

Unfortunately, with my limited knowledge in VJ I'm quite hesitant on sharing our WAC number due to Terms of Service and privacy issues. But I will comment that my fiance did not receive an email or text notification regarding any RFE, but note that they mailed it 10 days prior to us receiving it. So if we have similar filing dates I would think a response to your case may be soon, only seems delayed due to snail mail.

Hope everyone's cases come through smoothly
