    I don't understand how people fall for this "We will send you check to buy office supplies." Either buy it yourself and expense to company OR most companies let you choose, you send them link and they buy and have it shipped to you OR if the company already have an idea/ trusted brand that they are already using, they'll just ship you directly. People need to wake up.

    Really dude? Someone sends you a check before any work is done to buy stuff and you believed it?? No employer sends checks. When I first started, I got checks but after having put in work because my bank information was wrong in the system. However, the checks were handed to me at work. I only got 2 checks. Direct transfer was soon sorted.

    You don't need both your brother and dad. Choose 1. Make life simple. Since all file jointly, there will be 2 I-864 as well as 2 I-864A. If you do both dad and brother, the above becomes 3 each. More paperwork, which you should try avoiding. You need IRS transcripts. Download them easily from the website. If you send 1040, it'll be 1040 + paystubs, which is more papers. Take easy way out.

Shouldn't it be the opposite? You pay money to get services or buy something. Won't be surprised if OP goes ahead to try his luck, hoping it's legit.
