  1. Probably DHS had not updated your records by the time you went to get your DL. You Probably went to DMV the next day after getting your USCIS docs. Anyway, quit worrying over none issues.
  2. Yeah, they're used. But also, *if any.* You're fine. It'll be picked from the other forms.
  3. I'd return it with a photocopy of my naturalization cert, stating "I am a USC already." There should be an address on the approval letter that came with it. Ship it back there.
  4. You were misinformed. Anyway, whatbfee did you pay? Did you pay $220 for each parent? Because if you didn't pay a $220 fee, then you didn't pay the GC delivery fee.
  5. No. It's on the embassy website. Bogota serves both Colombia and Venezuela, hence the backlog.
  6. If it's that biometrics appointment letter, you can just print one from your online account, get one at the support center when you go or just cross over neatly on the one you made a mistake on.
  7. Daughter was ill....so I guess she's recovered now? Is the daughter a US citizen/ GC holder or how's she in US? Nonetheless, your friend is not getting anything faster. Those in the US and who are in process of adjusting their status, don't even get expedited for anything, should their relatives back home fall sick or even pass away.
  8. Furnish EACH form independently, no matter how repetitive it looks. Though sent as one via UPS, FedEx etc, they'll be handled by different processing centers.
  9. It's based off your 2023 IRS transcript. On your 2023 IRS transcript, go to the line that says "Adjusted Gross Income per computer." That's what you're looking for. If the number that is there is above $26K, then you are good. Pick it and write it exactly the way it is in your I-864. Now, if you hadn't made enough for 2 people in 2023/ the number on the aforementioned line is below $26K, then you'd use a monthly average of your 2024 Uber Eats et al. But you made $36K last year. So, use your 2023 IRS transcripts information.
  10. Not sure what you're trying to prove. By the time you're done with your lawyer, you'll be up $2000+. Additionally, might take time. Seems you're out to prove something. I'll take the path of least resistance as @Crazy Cat, the Sheriff said. It's election time and you may be lucky and get citizenship before elections by just filing a new petition.
  11. @powerpuff I know about MAVNI. Most F-1 students in my university used that loophole to quickly become USC. It was discontinued around 2017, if memory serves me right. But even with MAVNI, as soon as one successfully completed basic training, they became USC. But you had to have some status when enlisting, which for most of my friends was F-1.
  12. Where do you see this because I don't see it? Having served in the Marines, why didn't he naturalize?? Mexico has dual citizenship
  13. But there's something stinking in his file, hence his detention. He should have been a USC by now. Wife said they just applied for his GC and made sure to get the green light from immigration before leaving for Mexico....so, looks like this GC was applied post serving in the Marines and of course, recently. So, then, how was he able to join the Marines in the first place? Lastly, he'd been waiting for years to go to Mexico..why? This story is a can of worms.
  14. Google says you need a GC. 1. Now, how's this person barely getting his GC, 20 years later? 2. Why didn't he apply for expedited US citizenship upon joining Marines OR somewhere within the last 20 years???
