  1. She's well into her 20s. So two mistakes: 1. She wrongfully claimeed she's in the US to go the N600 route. 2. She lied about her age.
  2. And to even be eligible for the free ride N600/N600K, she should have been under 18. That's why I mentioned I-130 too. Additionally, for her to qualify for N600K, the parent and her should have been living together abroad, not separate. So, based on what you said, she doesn't even qualify for N600K due to age + physical custody (we've already ruled out N600). So, I believe the correct path would have been for her parent to file an I-130 to get her to US. Then proceed from there. @Mike E will be here shortly to confirm or fix any errors, if I made any. Going by your original post, the only way I see that she got N600 is because she answered questions wrongly on the online application by stating she lives in the US. Now oath has been scheduled, how's she gonna attend? She cannot come to US without a proper visa and by the time that visa is granted, oath would have been long gone. And she's above 18 to qualify for N600 anyway. And NO, N600 certificate cannot be mailed to you in lieu of you appearing at interview.
  3. Should have been N600K. I'm not sure how N600 was obtained but the hurdle now is, how's she gonna get to US for the oath? That's why I'm confident you applied for the wrong thing. N600K would have sorted the "how do I get to US issue?" You understand? There was a thread here last week about the same.
  4. I am not sure if you guys did the correct thing. She should have done CRBA up until 18 years or I-130 or N600K, not N600. Which one did they do? N600K or N600? How old is she? @Mike E
  5. I'm confused. On what basis did the child apply for citizenship? Marriage to a USC?
  6. Just don't land there between 1 - 4pm and 8 - 10pm. Those are the typical times for those long range big planes. 1 - 4 pm is worse; Emirates, Qatar, KLM, Lufthansa and Turkish altogether land at those times. You will be there for 4 hours. I landed 8 -10pm 3 weeks ago and just 2 long range flights made me stay in the queue 2 hours. If that's the case, then know that 1 - 4 pm is worse. I've landed during that time too and it was horrible. After my last pass 3 weeks ago, I'm considering saving my McDonald's $$ and getting that global entry. I wish I was CBP, if the pay was good. If I see any of you VJers, extra scrutiny, looking at you @Rocio0010 with your USC husband + MC 🤧
  7. As above. All you can do is pull out the petition
  8. I see nothing wrong. But you should consider pros and cons of K-1 vs CR-1
  9. Self employment with just 5K over is always tricky @Crazy Cat
  10. Yes Yes Yes Yes Yes Put 1 for your wife. Your wife, if you file joint taxes, will have to fill and sign I-864A..That's what part 5 (3) is for. Part 5 (3) serves a totally different purpose. I've always read it to be "talking to" joint sponsors so that if a JS has a spouse, it's covered. Confusion, but that's how it is. Repeat same for your other parents. It's confusing but that's how it is. You'll understand it later.
  11. Just used it as if it's your own address. I don't see the need to write a letter
  12. Normal. I have gone through random bag search at IAH. Let's not even get started on SSSS, which I last encountered 3 weeks ago. My carry on was ripped open at the boarding gate and they searched. In my numerous travels, I've missed SSSS 3 or 4 times. Infact, it's not a day in the office if I don't get it.
  13. You can remain a PR for forever. No pressure. A lot of people do. Yes file under 5 year rule.
