there is US Consulate in Kolkata why I cant apply immigrant visa there. I tried looking but I don't find that information that I have to go to Mumbai for immigrant visa. do we have people from India here reading this who knows better answer for this issue. because in I130 we need to mention which embassy do we want to apply for immigrant visa. thank you

where does it says that I have to go to Mumbai for immigrant visa and US embassy in Kolkata will not handle immigrant visa.
