    Hi My wife is about to go through the interview process for her CR-1/IR visa. I'm residing in Texas. She is a first cousin and we got married in Pakistan where it is legal. I've read on here the Officer at the embassy could give problems to this situation. Texas state recognizes out of state first cousin marriage as valid. (Similar to marrying in NY but then moving to Tx, the marriage is still valid) My question is since this is a Cr-1 visa, we are already married and are not going to marry in Texas, would we run into any issues? I could understand if this was one of the K visas, but when Texas accepts out of state marriages like this, there shouldn't be a problem.
