kaleya reacted to K1visaHopeful in No 24 month GC extension NOA
Not everyone has been issued a 24 month extension and that's okay.
You can only print documents from your account for online filed applications. I751 is paper filed.
Only if he needs to leave the US or renew IDs will he need to get a stamp. No stamp needed otherwise.
Your status does not expire just because the extension letter does.
No.

kaleya reacted to OldUser in No 24 month GC extension NOA
Hi @kaleya I haven't heard about the option for self-printing extension letters. Also, the extension letters usually come on a watermarked protected paper, and even if you manage to print one yourself I doubt airlines / officials / HRs will honor it.
The best course of action is to obtain I-551 stamp. You need to call USCIS and get an appointment for that. It's not given earlier than 30 days before extension letter expires.
N-400 application will not result in green card extension letter being issued.

kaleya reacted to DaveAndAnastasia in SSN after AOS complete?
Also, Greer, South Carolina is a fairly fast field office (at least going by the small number of VJ data points there), so I wouldn't be surprised if you got your interview appointment soon.

kaleya reacted to junkmart in SSN after AOS complete?
You could also get a SSN with your EAD. EAD would have been valid for 1 year from the date issued. EAD is usually issued 5-7 months after applying, and AOS can take a year or more, so you would have been able to work for a while waiting for AOS, unless you are one of the lucky few who get AOS before EAD. You can file taxes without a SSN by applying for an ITIN.

kaleya reacted to Mike E in SSN after AOS complete?
You should have asked for an SSN as part of the AOS. If not, yes, it will be easy once he has an I-551.

Correct, after the AOS is approved and he has the GC in hand, everything is easy.

We got our approval today!!! It came in the mail, and it had evidently been here since Mar 2nd... NAO1 was dated Mar 1st.
We're so excited!!! The only thing that is worrying me a little is that the Consulate is listed as Oslo on the NAO2. Is that normal? I know it will ultimately need to go to Stockholm.

Update: We heard from the NVC only about 2 weeks after receiving NAO2! We already got our case number. I actually received 3 emails from the NVC that day, and one of them said that they had approved our request for expedited processing, which is interesting since we never requested that. But all the info checks out, so we just feel pretty happy and lucky that it has fallen together so quickly!
NAO1 - Sep 7
NAO2 - Mar 1
NVC receives case - Mar 16
NVC sends out case - Mar 22
US embassy emails us packet 3 - Mar 23

@ML915
Thanks! We’re excited.
I received the NAO1 on Sept 5 (and that’s the “date received” on USCIS... but the notice date typed on the NAO1 was Sept 7, so I’ve been using that as the official date.
Also apparently I wrote Oslo as the consulate on the I-129F... I guess I did that before realizing that only Stockholm processes K1 apps. I’m hopeful that the NVC will ignore my mistake and send it straight to Stockholm! Anyone on here have experience with that?

Thanks! Haha. I had mentioned the approval a couple days ago (not trying to be a "congratulations" hog here ) but I'm wondering if anyone else has had that issue with the USCIS website and/or the apps not updating after a whole week... Oh well. I guess it is the hard copy that matters. I'm still very happy.
Won't be long now, everyone!
