  1. Until we recv'd our interview packet, I was desperately searching the timelines for other people to try and help me determine our interview day.

Our file was rec'vd in cdj June 2, 2006. Our interview is scheduled for July 12, 2007. I had rec'vd the packet on May 11, 2007. We had filed for a waiver March 20, 2006 and it was approved on March 17, 2007. We began our waiver process after the denial of our k3 visa on Feb. 7th 2006. We will now interview for the CR1 but in July it should be IR1 because we will have been married for 2 years on June 24th 2007.

Is anyone familiar with driving into CDJ or is it better to park in El Paso anyone know the price for the parking ?

  2. Hello! everyone, it has been long time since i dont make a post in the site, and i was wondering how are the mexican-american couples doing with the Cr1, i am waiting since September for my visa appoiment at CDJ, so while i share my long waiting with all of you guys i would like to know how the rest of you out there are doing and support each other with our proccesses, also has anybody been lucky about the "waiting time" for the appoiment ???

Thank you! and good luck!

My wife's case was forwarded to CDJ in June 06, we received our appointment package last week and the interview is scheduled for June 7. We were married 4/05, so on the plus side she should recieve IR1 instead of CR1. The first form we sent to NVC was back in 8/05, so overall 2 months shy of a two year process.

It appears that the interviews are being scheduled a solid year from the time the paperwork arrives at CDJ, and you get about a 45 day notice before the interview date.

Don't let the wait get you down!

You are lucky that you got your packet. Our file has been in Cdj since June of 06' as well and we haven't gotten the packet yet. Maybe soon. when we call they never give us a direct answer about anything.

Our file was sent to CDJ on June 2, 2006 and we have not gotten our appointment packet as of yet. We are waiting for the CR1 as well. Our waiver was filed March 06' and was approved in March of 07'. We filed our waiver with the K visa in Feb. 06'. It seems like we are always witing and waiting. good Luck

  4. Our case was forwarded to CDJ in June 2006, last week we received our packet stating my wife's interview is set for June 7!

We want to go as prepared as can be, and I believe we have everything in order except for one detail. My wife's birth was not registered in Mexico until 1980 (she was born in 1967). She was raised by her grandmother, and it wasn't until the school that my wife was attending requested a copy of the certificate that her grandmother discovered the birth had not been registered. My wife tells me that while not the norm, it's not uncommon for births not to have been registered at the time of birth (going back to the 60's and possibly 70's).

When my wife applied for her Laser Visa Border Crossing Card, she says she had to also provide a copy of her parents birth certificates and a copy of her older brother's birth certificate. She did receive her Border Crossing Card.

Having said that, should we obtain copies of her parents birth certificates to have present for the interview? Has anyone face a similiar situation? Any advice/tips would be greatly appreciated.

    Thank you,

    Raymond

I would call CDJ and ask them. Remember to get the name of the person that you talked with. Also, it can't hurt to bring the parents certificates with you anyway. Buena suerte

  6. Que onda?

My girl speaks very little English. I am guessing that this will not be problem for her Juarez interview. What else should I tell her?

Just received our NOA2 today. Chingon!!! After four years...it's time.

    Thanks for help,

    Thomas

They speak more Spanish in Juarez than English

  7. Our case was sent to CDJ in May 06' About 3 weeks ago, my husband called them and they said we had an interview scheduled for May 8, but we still havn't recvd. the packet yet. My husband called yesterday and now they didn't want to tell us anything. They said that we have to wait and if we don't get anything next week, to call. This is hard because we need to plan ahead with tickets and everything. Please let me know about anyone elses time frames with waiting for the packet.

  8. Hi, Raymond. Is the 3032 the "Agent of Choice" form? If so, they should sent you the packet at the address you gave them. As far as I know, they don`t send anything to Mexico. What ever they send to me in the US, I just fax coppies of to my wife. Also, I could be wrong, but it seems to me that most people are currently waiting about a year from the time their cases are transfered to CDJ to their appointments. Good luck.

Yes it is. I feel much better knowing the packet will arrive here to my home. My mail box is a little more secure than my wife's.

And yes, seems more like 11-12 month interview dates, seems most are getting their packet on month 11 for interview in month 12. Oh well, more hurry up and wait.

Our case was also sent to CDJ around the same time( end of May). I have not received the packet yet. I did email them a few days ago and to my suprise they responded the next day. They said that our approx. waiting time is 4-5 months from now(Feb.2007). So I guess that brings us to May or June. Its like we are always waiting.

  9. Does anyone know the average processing time for a I-601 at Ciudad Juarez? I am in the process of getting the paperwork together to show the extreme hardship.

Also does anyone have any suggestions of important documents to put in with the waiver. I don't want to miss something.

    Thanks

We had submitted our waiver on Feb. 13, 2006. We have not received anything as of yet.

I did call CDJ back in Nov. and they told me that the waiver was filed on March 13, . They told me not worry that everything was fine. We are just basically waiting for our next interview date. On the CDJ website they say that you only receive a letter when the waiver is denied. I am assuming that our waiver was accepted and that we are just waiting for the interview. I had sent them an email 2 days ago and to my suprise they responded right away. They said that they were very busy, but that our wait time is 4-5 months more from Feb. 2007. I also heard from a person that works for Congressman Guttierez that they are backed up with the waivers. This is all very difficult. I just want my husband back. I love going to Mexico, but it would be nice to travel as a couple.

Oh, about my letter, I had a very good friend write it for me. She happens to be a linguistics professor, and extremely intelligent. We looked for things like; I have psoriasis and it becomes aggravated during stress, I have a son, without a father and how difficult it is and that his grandpa died and there isn't anyone to fill this role, the emotional stress mentally and physically. i hope this can help.

  10. Hey guys,

    Can any one explain me what's the difference bet'n CR1 & IR1?

    Thanks,

    HHP

[/quote if you have been married less than 2 years when your spouse enters the US on an immigrant visa, the permanent resident status is considered "conditional' . You and your spouse must apply to remove the condition 90 days before your spouses two year anniversary. I believe that you will get this info at the time when you receive the visa.
