  1. I recently asked this same question to an expert and According to him, you the petitioner file i-864 and joint sponsor also fill i-864 not i864A because you file taxes separately.
  2. My dad also applied for my sibling over the age of 21 and married have kids. Dad only applied for his own children like my brother and sister. We added derivative applicants, their spouses and kids where case was at NvC. So yes, only 1 petition. Technically you can’t file for grandchildren and daughter in law anyway.
  3. Will do that! Thank you so much!
  4. Someone else in the other post shared their n400 has been rejected due to either incorrect fee or applying before 90 days. we are about to mail our application with fee reduction and now are hesitant.what should we do?
  5. Hello everyone, if we are applying for fee reduction, for n-400 form. What documents we need to attach with paper application we are sending? Would Only last year tax transcript would be good enough? Do the check we send along with application is $380?
  6. What supporting documents you sent with n-400 if applying based on 5 year residence? Fyi: Paper application as applying for fee reduction
  7. When u sent n-400 what supporting documents you sent with application? Any pics? Also, for fee reduction, what documents you sent to prove you r below poverty guidelines?
  8. Sounds exactly right and my siblings who got married did exactly the same. When they had kids, they aded them as well.
  9. In our case parents applied same category, priority date 2011, application approved 2014, nvc asked for doc sep 2024 and working on affidavit. Hope that helps!
  10. If thats the case, I would recommend you to do everything with the principal applicant back home.
  11. You need to file i-864A if she is household member and lives in same residence and want to includer her income. if she files separate taxes, lives separate, then fill i-864 as joint sponsor
  12. You need to contact NVC through online query form and update them about the marital status of ur sibling. In the mean time. Make sure she updates her status when she gets married and want to add spouse. Also, make sure she keep divorce documents to show termination of marriage. If it snot in English, must have it translated into English
  13. I would recommend camille file i-130 as a petitioner. Wait for the application to get approved, later when nvc ask you to pay fees, visa fee and Affidavit of support fee, you pay as a petitioner from ur account. Aunt can transfer you money to ur account to pay the fees. For actual affidavit of support, camille will fill 1 affidavit of support, i864 as a petitioner and aunti will fill one as joint sponsor.
  14. According to my knowledge, ur niece can apply for adjustment of status once her parents receive greencard or citizenship
  15. Please update us here once u get more information. I will really appreciate that!
  16. Because petition was approved before turning 21. i have a question for you @vladar and it will be a big help for us in our case. My siblings have kids who r very under 18. If we add them to “follow to join” what we have to do when want to process their visa? I mean what application we have file and how much fee and paperwork involved in it. Please share details and whether its good idea to choose follow to join. Another thing, do we use AOS u initially had with your application or you will have new Affidavit of support?
  17. Hello everyone, we r currently processing i-864 and ds 260 for siblings who have kids under 18. When we paid AOS fee and visa fee for principal applicant online, it shows all derivative members under him too. 1) Do we have to pay fee for all of the derivatives applicants? It includes 1 spouse and 3 kids under 18. 2) do we have to fill seperate ds260 for all kids under 18 and spouse? it also includes a derivative who is 4 months only, what about him? Separate ds260?
  18. My dad applied for my siblings who are married had 1 or 2 kids, priority date 2011, just received NVC notification now. We were able to add derivative applicants, means more kids under them. There will be an option for you to add. In the mean time send query to nvc through inquiry form to add your kids to your case. Send their birth certificates to NVC with your case number and date of birth. My siblings did the same on birth of each new kid.Hope that helps!
  19. According to my knowledge, if your initial petition was approved before kids turned 21, it should not be a prb. I could be wrong and experts can give u a better answer. @appleblossom@pushbrk
  20. My dad applied for my sibling who were all married in 2011 and they just asked them for AoS and other documents 1 month ago, in September 2024. Your priority date is not current. You will only hear from NVC when ur priority date becomes current.
  21. How many house hold members u have and how many u sponsoring? You can use your checking or savings account as well but the difference of income lets say u r lacking 10k in income, your balance needs to be 10k*5=50k balance in ur bank account. If you meet income guidelines, don’t include assets because it will get more complicated
  22. Yes, I completely agree with comments above. Combine income. The only thing is when they ask you on i864 if you sponsored anyone else before, you will mention yur husband there but no one will be counted twice. If its u and ur husband then household members 2 and u r sponsoring 1 makes total 3.
  23. @Bunty24my dad applied for my siblings who are married and have kids, just like your friends mom sponsored her kids and thy have depends, kids who are derivate applicants. Did you select follow to join for them or accompany ?
