    Hi everyone!

I've been reading everything you guys post here recently, congratulations to everyone who got their NOA 2!!! It's so good to know that we are finally moving in right direction and all of us are so close to be with our loved ones!
Me and my fiance are feeling really frustrated last couple weeks, we haven't seen each other for 7 months and this goddamn process seems to start ruining everything 😖😖 But keeping the hope, that we're getting approved really soon, it's been 4 months and 2 days since our case was received by USCIS, NOA2 should be here in no time!!!
At least we finally catch up with our timeline, now it says we have to be approved between August 8th and August 14 😃😃 gives me a hope!
Good luck to everyone! This process can't last forever after all 😁

    APPROVED!!!!!!
    Received date: 3/28
    NOA1 date: 4/03
    NOA2 date: 8/03

This proves the 4 months right on the dot!!

Also, today I received an email back from my senator!

    "Dear Ms. Wenner:

Thank you for your inquiry on behalf of your constituent, XXXXXXXXXXXXXXX, regarding the I129F filed with U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS). In receipt of your inquiry, a thorough review was completed on your constituent’s case. USCIS records show the following:

    -          The California Service Center approved the referenced case on August 04, 2017.  The case will be forwarded to the National Visa Center (NVC) for processing within the next 2-3 weeks."

Not sure what it means that it was approved August 4th from the senator, but the notice on the I-797 form says 8/03. Either way it's kinda one of those situations that makes you wonder if the senator DID help. An inquiry was sent out on August 3rd from my senator. Either way, I am super happy!!!

To everyone else, I'm positive you're going to get approvals soon! I promise it is all worth it when you get it. I know I wasn't the best being patient, but as many others who have got their NOA2s would probably agree with me, it was all worth it!

    YAY, NOW TO CELEBRATE!!!!!

HOPE TO SEE MANY MORE APPROVALS!!!

So movement ... I think it is good and the notice system worked for some ... promising ... standby folks. Maybe we'll see some soon. I really needed to read that ... I have been down in the dumps. Particularly rough couple of days here, but hanging in there like a hair in a biscuit!

I know it feels that way… I find it interesting how quickly those cheques are cashed and then its complete radio silence when applicants follow-up as these fees help fund USCIS...

BUT I'd like to believe USCIS as a whole does care and is doing their job to protect the immigration process. With over half of applications deemed as fraudent and the popularity of a show like 90 Day Fiancé it does make sense this a lengthy process (as much as it sucks). Our time will come!!

Sorry guys I know the process is difficult, but getting your Congressman or Senator involved is not a wise move at this point.  The 3 to 4 month time period that gets thrown around on VJ is an estimate based on numbers, not an official USCIS time frame.  The magic number when USCIS considers an application late seems to be 6 months from NOA1.  Late means you haven't received an RFE or NOA2.  At that point a normal inquiry will get a fairly quick response.  I've seen this happen before and it's happened here on VJ lately. (sorry I can't find the links.)

In any case, Why would you burn your potential ace in the hole on something routine in the process??   We all know that USCIS is running a bit slow but that they are indeed looking at April filers already.  And since we are already this late into the process you may hear back even before your representative had the chance to respond.  Patience...the NOA1 to NOA2 is the first step in a very long visa journey leading to citizenship.

You and us both!  I think once we get a couple of NOA2's, the floodgates will open and we'll all be with our loved ones.

    Hello everyone!

I am new here, my name is Lana and I'm Ukrainian so sorry in advance for my English 😀

On April 7th we got our NOA1 and I was really hoping I'll be with my baby by July but life sucks :(. Today I checked the official USCIS processing times and oh my God, in the end of May they were processing cases as of January 1st!!! 😲 It means that it takes them 5 freaking months to approve the case!!! I am freaked out, I haven't seen my boy for half a year already, and statistics are not giving me any hope...

Maybe somebody who applied in April has been already approved? Please show up and give me a little bit of hope that everything is not as bad as it seems to be 😩

Anyway I wish a good luck and tons of patience to everyone else who's waiting to finally marry their lovers!!

That's a big question and a big mystery. I have no idea, honestly, but my big guess is it doesn't affect the majority of the cases, but it might with certain countries Islam related, as they might have been stricter with background checks or whatnots. But no, I don't think that plays much of a role here currently.
See, Spain is a friendly country, but there's one case from here where they have been waiting for already over 170 days. So it all comes down to each particular case and a bit of the luck factor

It's possible, could be a form of protest since time slowed after SC confirmed legality of travel ban.
I hope not but who knows. We're all friends here, so let's avoid politics whenever possible. Not saying that was intention cause most have thought about it at least in passing.

Not really strange at all. There seems to be a consistent push-back from the CSC on application inquiries. Consider that the tracker generally works for RFEs. Why would it not work for approvals? Because the data is not being updated for approvals but is for RFEs. The only reason I can see for doing that is it reduces the confirmation of other cases being approved to hearsay and rumor from the forums in the case of inquiries. It removes the ability to prove to a tier 1 officer that more recent cases are being adjudicated. My theory isn't really a criticism of the CSC. I come to it by assuming they're doing their main job of adjudicating applications for visas as expedient as they can. The toughest job there has to be the customer service person telling the heart-sick lovers that their NOA2 will be done when it's done. The applicant certainly doesn't want to hear it. I'm not saying it's the right way to handle it but it is the easiest. Being a government entity, the easy way will win over the right way more than anyone will ever want to hear.

Hi Lana, welcome!  My fiance is also from Ukraine.  We are April 6th notice dates (April 3rd received), and also still waiting.  We're expecting good things soon!  Your fiance needs to make a trip to visit!  I just got back from a two week visit recently.  Keep the faith, it will happen soon!  Approvals are already rolling in for people with March 28th date, so it won't be long now.
