Are we talking VJ member approvals or just random USCIS approvals because there are only hundreds of us VJ'er vs THOUSANDS of Non-VJ'ers.

    Thanks for the update.

You know It really doesn't matter, it gives some hope when you see that things are moving, no matter if they are VJ member approvals or not... Some of us are not able to do the tracker checks so these updates are just keeping the faith up :)

Congrats!!  It is the best feeling in the world when you see the approval!!

Thank you so much! Yes you're right I haven't been as happy since my fiance left 7 months ago... Today is a greatest day so far! I wish to all of us here to be as happy ASAP!!! God knows how much everyone here needs that. People here are the most strong and patient ones by far 😀 and great news are coming every day, I am so happy for everyone who's getting approved too, like I can finally feel what they feel. In a couple short months all of us will be with our loved ones, and that is like a happy end of a fairy tale. I'm amazed by how strong can be love, in relation to every couple here, when two loving hearts are separated for so long time - nobody can really understand how hard it is but us... How strong that love is to overcome hard times like this damn endless USCIS process... I wish endless love to every single couple here, and may our patience be fully rewarded!!! We deserve it.

My fiance' is from Ukraine as well. She now lives in Bryansk due to all the troubles in Donetsk (her hometown). I've been to Kiev and found it to be a lovely place. I really enjoyed my time there. All together I have been to Ukraine once and Russia three times. We are waiting to see which embassy the NVC will send our application to. Moscow would be the most convenient for her. We will see.

It's great to hear from you! :) My fiance has been to Kiev with me as well on a winter vacation and he loved it too! You also should go to Lviv, my boy loved it so much he didn't want to leave haha, it's a really really beautiful place :)

So you guys have your NVC number  already? What date is your NOA 2? And why do you want to apply for Visa in Moscow, not in Kiev? From what I know in Moscow the queues are much longer to wait for your visa appointment than in Kiev 😵

Thanks !!! Good luck for you too, guys! I am an original Ukrainian, just born in Russia and live here, but all my life i connect with Ukraine ) ) ! my mom fifty-fifty Poland-Ukraine, born in Buki, Kiev region, and dad in Romania, Moldova now. everu summer i spent in Shamraevka , Skvira area ))

That is so cool, so we have a little Ukrainian community in a little April filers community 😀 from what I see most of beneficiaries here are from Philippines, and I haven't seen nobody from Ukraine showing up before, so it's nice to meet you my original Ukrainian friend 😊

according to the rules in Russia we have to email all our documents to the embassy in Moscow in three days before interview , and then we must bring the originals .

Wow it's completely different down here. The website says in a big red letters "do not send any documents to the Embassy" haha 😁😁  so we only need to get them ready and bring for the interview..

Guys, something worries me suddenly. A neighbor of mine who is currently processing her K1 uk visa told me about IELTS (International English Language Testing System) exam.., she told that it's mandatory for all country for all visa applicants.. Is it true guys? I have never heard of this until earlier today..

Never heard of that too... I think you neighbor just messed it with a green card process. You don't need to pass any language tests for getting fiancee visa

you can ask about police clearance now, to be ready and make process ASAP ... i did get both police clearances i need, russian and ukrainian, because i graduated at Odessa State Academy of Food Technologies while ago and worked in Vinnitsa, Poroshenko's flour mill )

Awe so you've been to Ukraine too!! Niiice :) Actually I already have both police certificates from Ukraine and form Poland since I've been studying there for 3 years, so I have packet 3 almost ready. Only need my fiance to send me his pay statements, affidavit of support, letter from his employer and tax returns from last year, that is what required in Ukraine according to the information on the website @Estibaliz showed me 😊

Everything else I believe you can do really fast, and yeah we have to fill in form DS160 here, but I've done that before, so I hope it won't be a problem...

Btw I see your NOA1 is from 4/6 so you guys will get your approval in no time as well! Good luck to you :)

Packet 3 is the "Instruction Package" For standard processing posts (not many of them anymore), this is what the embassy sends out when it receives the petition from NVC. You return package 3 with DS-230 Part II to request your interview be scheduled.

Packet 4 is the "Appointment Package" This is the package that has the interview appointment and the final checklist of what to bring to the interview.

With NVC appointment processing, Packet 3 & 4 are obsolete, as you are really completing packet 3 when you return DS-230 Part I & II to NVC with the original civil documents, and NVCis really sending you packet 4 when the interview appointment is scheduled by them

    Good luck !

Thank you!! Now it's much more clear to me 😊 So basically we just need to wait more, to be able to set up an appointment... Cause I thought that packet 3 it's something we need to send somewhere 😁

8 hours difference for us, so I can relate :)

You can try calling after two weeks have passed, because they are being quite fast lately. We are going to try and call on Monday (11 days), basically because my other half telecommutes that day, so I can be on cam and give him the speech before he calls, since he's a bit clueless about the whole calling who, when and what for thing :P After that, it will be on him to keep trying.

Packet 3 is different depending on the country but, generally speaking, that's the first contact you have with the Embassy, when they tell you they got your petition and to proceed with the next steps. Check your Embassy to see how it works, because for me packet 3 is a check list of documents I have to send, plus the petition for authorization to book an appointment, and I can't book medical or do basically anything until I get it... But in other countries there's certain things you can do already without waiting for them.

For Ukraine, I think it's basically the email saying they received your case.

There's a bunch of Ukraine beneficiaries on March thread, all of them very nice. Maybe you can ask some of them :)

Thank you so much!!! 😊 I will try to talk to beneficiaries from Ukraine eventually, cause I'm a bit clueless as well 😳 need to find out more information about what we do next..

    Congrats! :jest:

LOL. Why is there always someone sleeping when the good news come?  Oh well... Time difference :)

Thank you!!! Yeah 7 hours difference, it's a shame. So hard to see each other... But anyway I'm so happy! Now it's on to the next waiting until NVC received our case 😑 another month or so, right? Until the Embassy gets the documents. And I also have a question, sorry for being so clueless, but what is the mysterious packet 3? 😳

Welcome, @sw_lana_ Sorry your ideal plans has not worked, but I have to say you were being uber optimistic there. Well, we can always make a good use of optimistic people around here, just don't let your spirits fall down now. We are getting close for real finally, and you know what everyone says... things speed up after NOA2 :)

And another bill here, guys. You have to love Mondays (I actually do) :P

Hi! I have to admit, positive attitude is my all 😁 I was so naive in the beginning of the game that I expected NOA2 by summer! Anyway, I really do hope we get closer.

And there is also one thing which is worrying me, I know it's a bit stupid question but still... As we all know, Trump is very categorical against immigrants, and like... is it possible that it can affect approvals lately?

Hi Lana, welcome!  My fiance is also from Ukraine.  We are April 6th notice dates (April 3rd received), and also still waiting.  We're expecting good things soon!  Your fiance needs to make a trip to visit!  I just got back from a two week visit recently.  Keep the faith, it will happen soon!  Approvals are already rolling in for people with March 28th date, so it won't be long now.

Oh really Ukraine too? That is awesome, we're not alone in our case. Yes, we've been thinking about him visiting but we were hoping we'll get approved soon..

And that is really great to know that there are approvals from March, gives me the faith! Although I am completely confused now with the official site statistics and like what about the course of cases...

Anyway thank you so much for your reply, it really makes it easier when you realize that you are not alone in your waiting, moreover you are dealing with Ukraine too 😀

Good luck to you and to all of us!!!

  13. Hello everyone!

I am new here, my name is Lana and I'm Ukrainian so sorry in advance for my English 😀

On April 7th we got our NOA1 and I was really hoping I'll be with my baby by July but life sucks :(. Today I checked the official USCIS processing times and oh my God, in the end of May they were processing cases as of January 1st!!! 😲 It means that it takes them 5 freaking months to approve the case!!! I am freaked out, I haven't seen my boy for half a year already, and statistics are not giving me any hope...

Maybe somebody who applied in April has been already approved? Please show up and give me a little bit of hope that everything is not as bad as it seems to be 😩

Anyway I wish a good luck and tons of patience to everyone else who's waiting to finally marry their lovers!!
