I just got my EAD approved! After 140 days! What's your experience, when can I expect the card in the mail? They really should reimburse us for shattering our nerves.

Hi everyone,
Just got my EAD/AP combo today!
NOA1: January 11th
Approval: May 22nd
Card in Mail: May 31st
It took a long time but at least I got it. For anyone wondering, I did get updates on the USCIS website and on my phone.
GC status:
NOA1: January 11th
After that no changes except on the USCIS website. My case says it was reviewed on March 20th but I havent gotten any updates since then.
Good luck to everyone out there! Let me know if you have any questions.
Congratz! You give me hope since my NOA1 is January 12

How did you contact the congressman? I filed feb 6 2018. I did an expedite for my ead no respond yet. Only this one and they said they got it and reviewing and will receive a decision shortly but dont know when.. I contacted the senator via email yesterday no response yet..this is for my ead..
5Same here. I got a letter from USCIS a week after I requested a Service Request and all it says is "Your case is currently under review." They didn't even mention my expedite request. I also contacted our senator yesterday.

even your ead??
No, nothing. I have contacted our congressman a week ago. He just replied yesterday and said: "Congressional interest in an application filed in January may be enough to get an approval". You?

Hi! I expedited my ead and send them fax with job offer on May 5’th. They responded to me last Thursday and I got a notice that card is in production so just check your email and tracker for updates! Good luck!
Oh congratz! Just checked your timeline. It says " Your EAD was approved in 64 days. "How's that possible? You filed in March?

Hey guys, NOA1 January 12 here. Has anyone received their EAD yet? Also, does anyone have experience with a request to expedite the EAD? I tried to expedite it and faxed my job offer (which is now irrelevant, because the company couldn't wait for me), but whenever I call USCIS to ask if they received my fax and if I can get it expedited, they keep repeating the same ol' story "Your case is currently under review." D'uh.

I might suggest a Congressional Inquiry at this point. It is really wierd and there seems to be a cluster of NOA2's from the 18/19 time frame that fell into a black hole.
Ugh. We'll do that. We seem to be super unlucky since our RFE was stuck forever too and we had to talk to our congressman in order to get things moving. Our NOA1 was back in April.
-
Hey guys. We got our NOA2 on Oct 19 but so far, NVC hasn't received it yet. Is that normal? I see people with a time span of 10 days max between NOA2 and their NVC case number. We keep calling them and I have even filled out their online formular but they apparently still haven't received it.

Congrats Sarah, when did you send your Evidence package back to CSC? When did they receive it? What the tracker was showing? We are eagerly waiting...
Ok, so we called USCIS on September 11 and they told us we got an RFE. Bummer.
On September 12, the case tracker udpated, confirming that they mailed a request for additional evidence. After 2 weeks, we still hadn't received a letter, and after calling USCIS 2-3 times and requesting that they resend the RFE (which they didn't), my boyfriend contacted his congressman who was super helpful and nice. He contacted USCIS directly and attached the scanned RFE in his email on October 3. The only problem was that my bf's picture was too big. -___- So he got a new photograph and sent it via overnight express and DHL sent me a confirmation that CSC received our letter on October 4.
And today, the case tracker updated, with confetti raining down on my screen. No kidding.
Can you track your RFE response? They received ours the very next morning.

Update!
We called USCIS 3 weeks ago and they told us we got an RFE. To this day, we still haven't received a letter. So we called our congressman this Monday, he called USCIS and attached the RFE in his email yesterday. Fast and easy. I still wonder why USCIS can't send emails... Apparently, our passport pictures were slightly too big. That. was. the. whole. problem! They could have cut them with scissors, but whatever. Sent the RFE reply this morning via overnight express. One step closer to NOA2!

My RFE was for my Fiances divorce papers, we sent in the court order but not the divorce certificate on accident. She was the first person in her family to get divorced and her mother finished it via power of attorney when she had to come here to the US for her MBA. The courts were just slow at the time is all. We got the RFE in 4 days, mailed on the 11th, arrived on the 15th. Already sent it back and have it moving along.
Yes 2 weeks sounds like a problem. I believe one of the other users here had an issue with getting their RFE, but the board moves so fast I forget who exactly had that issue.@Keith & Monica You had the same issue, right? Your RFE got stuck forever? I got a notice for an RFE via email 2 weeks ago and when we called last week they said they are gonna resend it. And now it has been 2 weeks. Still no letter.

It just means they are resending the letter and looking into why the first one didn't arrive. Normally from mail date to arrival is in that 4-5 day window at least for me in Ohio. Did you get your original NOA1, have you moved since then? If yes & no then they are trying to figure out what happened is all and remailed the document.
Oh, you got an RFE too? What was yours about if I may ask? We got our NOA1 within 2 days. And yes, my fiancé did move in the meantime but the address remained the same since it's his parents' house and it's not far away from his new place. 4-5 days sounds normal. But it has been 2 weeks...

Hello everyone.
I need advice, help and encouragement please.
On September 12, 2017, I received an email that they mailed a request for additional evidence.
After not having received it after a week, we called USCIS on September 19. My case tracker immediately updated to: "On September 19, 2017, your inquiry about a Request For Evidence that you did not receive, referral number Wxxx, was assigned to an officer for response." Also, they said they are sending another letter in case the first doesn't arrive.
Yesterday, it updated again, now saying "On September 22, 2017, your inquiry about a Request For Evidence that you did not receive, referral number Wxxx, was assigned to an officer for response."
What does this mean and why does it take more than 2 weeks for the RFE to arrive? Also, the email stated that they sent an "additonal" RFE, not an "initial". Is there a difference?
-
My fiancé called on Monday and the tier2 said they sent out an RFE on Friday (so 09/08) and the tracker updated on Tuesday and it said the RFE was mailed to us on 09/12. We got our NOA1 within 2 days so I am hoping they're quick again with that hardcopy...
-
Hey guys, what is your experience from RFEs: How long does it take until it ends up in my mailbox? It says they mailed it September 12...

just guessing here but did you meet on a dating site? If so did you provide the TOS Terms of Service from said website?
Otherwise you will just have to wait 10 days or so for the RFE to arrive.
Good part is your case is being worked and if not for RFE would have been approved so you are just one step away from NOA 2 once you reply with requested documents.
Send the documents back with tracking and make copy of EVERYTHING you send to them.
No dating site. We met 4 years ago in person while he was traveling abroad in Germany. It must be a really minor thing that's missing, such as that they lost our passport pictures or something. Heard that happened to some people.

I doubt it would be that. Affidavit of support is not until later and I don't think you need his police certificate? At least we didn't provide that. Have you checked that there's nothing you forgot to tick? How about the letters of intent?
I've heard that some people's passport pictures were too small. Which would be super annoying. But I'm pretty sure we measured it. Oh well... let's wait for this lovely letter. Why can't they just send an email?

I'm sorry to hear that! Did you send boarding passes or passport stamps? That seems to be the thing they're caught up on at the moment.. Our receive date is 24th of April an we've not heard anything yet, however we only sent boarding passes and not stamps so I'm a bit worried we'll get RFE too..
Thank you. Hope you get your NOA2 soon. This waiting is agony. Yes, we sent passport stamps, boarding tickets, hotel receipt, vacation pictures with explanations, screenshots of chats, both G-325A and I-129F, paid the fee.
We didn't put his police record or affidavit of support. Could that be it?
