  1. Hey wanted to update this post with a question here. Appreciate all the replies so far. So I did send in the divorce waiver and all the info about 3 months ago, got a receipt of the mail package sent. However I didnt hear back from them at all, no mention of them accepting my waiver and changing my application to divorce waiver as requested. Well, I was going to follow up this week and check in on that, when I get a mail with a letter that my green card and removal of conditions has been approved. I know it was mentioned here that I can get in trouble for not sharing that I got a divorce and getting my green card. Well I did send in all the info and was thinking theyd apply that change. The fact that I didnt hear from them and now got my GC makes me wonder whether they didnt really look at what i send and approved the first petition, or they did see it but decided to approve it regardless. Any idea here on what to do? Should I reach back out to them, or should I just be fine with having GC approved, and still save the receipt of my post where I sent the divorce decree as evidence in case it comes under scrutiny later when I apply for Naturalization. Any thoughts would be appreciated.
  2. Hey OldUser, Thanks a lot for the help. Am I still able to file for naturalization during this process, and would that be recommended?
  3. Thank you OldUser I appreciate your support. So after I send that letter with the attached divorce decree, will they update my status and I won't have to file an additional divorce waiver again? Will I still get my 10 year greencard, or is there issues I now have to foresee with that?
  4. ok - so would you say to create an infopass, and contact USCIS, for them to notify that change. Then send them a full divorce waiver?
  5. So I've had a long time with waiting for I-751 being approved, first was a request for evidence, and then them several times flipping back and forth between telling me they didnt receive the evidence and receiving the evidence. Last update after inquiring, is that they received my RFE (that was on Oct 20) and it's now processing - I should give them 60 days. Now the issue I'm facing is that due to severe marital challenges, my wife and I had to file for divorce. This divorce now officially got completed and I just found out about it as my I-751 is still pending. What is my step of action? Do I allow the I-751 to go through and wait for my green card and then fill in paperwork about divorce (i/e withholding that information) Or do I file another I-751 divorce waiver / call the office and telling them of my change? What's needed here? A part of me is wanting to withhold so I can get the full greencard without further questioning and resistance, and fill in something later, but I also want to do what is the right thing in this situation? If I do file a divorce waiver as they're still processing the other, is there a chance my application will be denied, since I am divorced now, and I will have to be exported? Any help in this challenging time would be appreciated. Best, Henri
  6. Looking to renew this thread here as Im still struggling with this. On August 22 I received information from USCIS that said: "On June 14, 2023, we received your response to our Request for Evidence (RFE) and processing has resumed on your pending I-751 Petition to Remove Conditions on Residence" This made me think that the case status was a mistake as they are confirming that they did receive the RFE, which previously I wasnt sure about. Now its been a month and a bit, and I requested more info again, and now I get this response: USCIS records indicate that we are awaiting your response to our duplicate Request for Evidence (RFE) for this case sent to you on July 231. Your case is currently on suspense or on hold until we receive your response." So here they're contradicting the previous info they sent me which is that that they did receive it and processing has resumed. I don't understand what is happening. They need me to send the very same info again? I dont understand why if they received it. Ive been trying to get in touch with a person but no real help from the online chat either. Any help here? Do I just send in everything again? This also is a problem as one aspect of it was "Complete Item #18 on the attached copy" which this time they didnt include, so I cant do that again.
  7. thanks! I just received the rfe they sent again today and it was the same letter from the original RFE. Yet the case status changed on the day my mail was delivered saying an RFE was sent out. any idea what this means and where I can find this out? I checked my USPS for delivery and it said “ Your item has been delivered to an agent for final delivery in LINCOLN, NE 68501 on June 14, 2023 at 10:32 am. I assumed this meant delivered to a USCIS agent and all good. Yet on that day they sent another mail with another RFE dating the day they first sent it out. do you think there’s a chance they didn’t receive it or there was an error in the system? any ideas how to proceed here?
  8. Hey guys, I’m in a bit of a situation and would love your support on best way to move forward. I mailed in my RFE in time and the day that my mail was delivered I got a status update saying an RFE was sent out — a 2nd RFE? anyways, the mail didn’t arrive, I did an e-request after 20 days as it says. Now, they did just update a month later that the RFE is being resent 10-14 business days. However I’m scared now that because it’s already taken so long that I’ll miss the deadline. is every RFE always at least 90 days response time? Do you think I should go to a local office or reach someone trying to get the letter electronically? In case it will be too late; will the mail that didn’t arrive hence delaying the process for me be taken into consideration? any help would be appreciated
  9. Hey Guys, Needing some help. I got an RFE a few months ago that I submitted in time. The day that the mail got delivered, they updated the case status saying an RFE was sent on June 14th. However, I have not received anything in the mail. I tried to call USCIS but not getting a way to get through. I requested an e-copy of the request, but haven't heard from them yet either. I do not know what the new RFE says or whether it was a processing mistake on their end, and they didnt actually submit another one. However I'm afraid that I'll miss the deadline of the 2nd RFE if it was sent. Anyway I can get in contact with a USCIS officer?
