Quick question.
Our RFE suggests we could send passport stamps. Did people photocopy every single page in their passport or just the stamps page and the photo page?
I sent every page and front/back cover.

This is a chaotic work process that however involves some logic. Groups of petitions getting RFE's or approved, with some other groups of them still untouched, could be explained by cases organized in boxes: agents pick boxes and work on them. Not all agents are equally fast. I guess some of them could leave some petition aside to work on 'easier' ones because their work is measured by productivity criteria (that's a fact I read somewhere around here... It's hard that productivity has to apply to a situation that ultimately involves human beings, real lives and feelings... But at the same time productivity means more cases would be touched average).
Since this process is performed by human beings, there will be mistakes and delays. I guess some cases get unlucky for reasons I can't picture. Do they even lose cases that fall behind the desk? Who knows... With my luck, I'm expecting to be left behind when my turn comes. Frustrating, specially when now they are even cutting off communication
Nothing of this is comforting, so I'll just say good luck to you all.
You are correct, but, there are easy cases where there is no criminal record, previous marriage or other factors that could play into the decision. You would think that background checks and other municipal documents would be easy for them to obtain, believe me it isn't always the case. Cases can sit on a desk for days waiting for information to come in. There is a great post on here somewhere, where they talked to someone who used to do this and it fills in some holes.

Right back to "have no clue" then. Not that I even left "have no clue". All I can go on is how I am treated, which is poorly when dealing with them. And I am very respectful when I call, despite my rants and rage.
They make good money, problem is, as with ANY government job, they are overworked. Not enough people to handle the case load. Also remember, they are just workers, they don't make the rules.. they just work by them.

When did you get approved ?
Just got my email this morning with the scan of it, so it will be in my mailbox when I get home from work. I can read on the scan that the approval date was 5/19

Is it only me or does this information look rather grim? Essentially, 87.5% of all the cases touched so far have not been approved, and only resulted in RFE. Is this normal?
You have to remember that those scans are only showing RFE, most of the approvals are people who are part of this forum. There are probably hundreds of approvals that we do not know about.

We kept ours simple, well, she researched for months before we did our packet. We sent entire passport (mine) 4-5 skype screen shots for every month, boarding passes, 8-10 pictures from each trip. Oh and itinerary printed off from Expedia with flight and hotel info.
