So, I am dual now too, but have not yet had to renew my Dutch passport. What I know is that in order to keep your Dutch passport, you HAVE to make sure to renew your passport on time. The rules recently changed that you now have 13 years to do so, so 3y past the expiration of your passport. Though, when you need to renew will also depend on when you naturalized. For renewing your Dutch passport, you’ll need an apostille on your naturalization certificate, and since that can take a while, it’s key to get that done on time.
