  1. June 20th 2016 filer here and on June 9th 2017 they requested further evidence. They received it on the 17th with no update on receiving it...

Does anyone have any experience with them requesting further evidence and how long that typically takes? They said if there is no update after 60 days to check back.

    Any thoughts are greatly appreciated.

  2. I have a quick question about someone who is typing up their affidavit for someone filing an I-751 form.

They are saying that they need the date of birth, address and place of birth for the person they are typing up the affidavit about.

I had not heard this before, and only thought that the affiant included their own info on the affidavit. Considering the fact that the affidavit is about their knowledge of the couple and proof of who they are.

    can anyone confirm either way?

Any update to the filers from vermont office???????

A girl I know who has her I-751 received on 6/20/16 just received a letter today requesting for evidence. I read a post earlier of ways you can prove but she is unable to use half of those options.

she is able to bring the following...

mail showing they live at the same residence. But it is his parents house so no utility bills.

    jointly filed w-2.

joint bank account, but the only money that goes into it is when they get their tax return direct deposited. She gets paper checks and her cell phone is paid monthly with no bill.

they have no wedding pics, they married in another country but he was already a citizen here. They do have pics together on a vacation not too long ago.

I suggested joining a gym together....any other suggestions?

They're supposed to process them by date received. But it often doesn't work that way. My theory is that each officer takes a stack of them and works through that stack by date, but some officers work faster (or slower) than others, and sometimes an officer will get a stack that's out of order - so on average they're roughly in date order, but it's not terribly consistent (kind of like everything else in this process!)

Pretty much as I thought. I wasn't sure as far as their track record goes how they progress through the petitions. I know some will be out of order because not everyone is due for an interview etc.

but as far as people getting approved without an interview....if they are slightly inconsistent with those, then mehhhhh 😂

Update:   Check the case status on line today; actually saw a different message, it said:

    New Card Is Being Produced

On May 3, 2017, we ordered your new card for Receipt Number WACXXXXXXXXXX, and will mail it to the address you gave us. If you move, go to www.uscis.gov/addresschange to give us your new mailing address.

So if this is true, then the process to being approved took 11 Months & 2 Days.  It's the 4th of May so we'll see how long it takes to actually get the card. But from what this says, this to means approved and  will be mailed.   Sure is taking a long time.

    Which service center is this?

I am a June 1 filler 2016 at VSC. I called immigration office today and they said VSC is working with cases of 15 feb and told me to wait till 1 June if there's no response then we can put your case in service request. Big stress😳

They are just going off of the latest update that reflects where they were on January 31st. They are at least halfway into March by now and likely in April.

    I agree.

I was trying to get him to tell me why they called me out of the blue on Saturday or at least route me to the agent who called but he just said, my case is pending review and it will be adjudicated within a year. That doesn't tell me anything..

Hopefully, it was just a routine call but I doubt USCIS routine calls like that. I just hope it's not something important that I missed. If it is, I hope they call back again.

My gf has been waiting since June and has not received a single phone call. She called to check early January and was told 6-8 months.

    UPDATE:

I just got the return call from USCIS.

The agent just asked me to confirm my address and full name and informed me my case is within processing time and it should be adjudicated within a year. I asked him what the current status is and he said it's 'pending review'.

I never initiated any inquiry or anything so I'm not sure why the first agent called on Saturday. This agent provided no information on why they called on Saturday. Nothing makes sense anymore.

It sounds like you caught a random agent that isn't working on your case so they gave you the company line. But that is just my take.

No luck yet (June 6, 2016 applicant). I tried to fill online application for delay in processing, got message on website that I am not eligible yet, I dont even know if I am being processed at Vermont or California..if its Vermont then I am done :(

Any body among the June applicants heard anything ?

Why do you say that about the Vermont office? It depends on where you are located but even then they could have moved you to another office. They typically notify you if they move your case to another office.

my gf is June and she has been waiting. She called early January and they gave her a "broad stroke" timetable like 6-8 months"

I read this from April group

    February 2016 Filers - Total VJ VSC Filers - 33;  Approved - 28;  Approval percentage - 88%

March 2016 Filers - Total VJ VSC Filers - 35;  Approved - 7;  Approval percentage - 20%  (only one approval since my last stats)

    April 2016 Filers - Total VJ VSC Filers - 31;  Approved - 1;  Approval percentage - 3%

Thanks! It's good to see that much progress into March. June is feeling that much closer haha

  11. Shouldn't people add the service center that is handling the petition? I believe there is a 3-5 month gap between where CSC and VSC are at in their progression.

The latest update from VSC is from January 31, 2017 and they are caught up to February 15th at the time listed. They appear to be progressing 45 days for every 30 day update at the moment which is tremendous progress compared to a few months ago. But it seems to take them about 40 days to change the status on their updates which is kind of ridiculous haha.

Does anyone else have any current information on the VSC and where they are at presently?
