  1. About that...Try never. You have a better chance of winning powerball than her getting a B-2
  2. Yes, I get that, but your question was a little generic. I know you are rather new here and just wanted you to have the information. I am taking my 11th trip to the Philippines and this will be the first time that I enter with my wife so it will be my first BB stamp. My co-worker just got back from the Philippines. He stayed 31 days. It cost him over $100 USD. I said you dummy! That 1 day cost a lot.
  3. If you enter with your wife you will get a Balikbayan visa stamp which gives you 1 year.
  4. Been there done that, tryin to help a brother out
  5. A couple more things, plan to visit at least once after 1 year and then go again once she gets her visa to bring here back with you. That will help the distance. Covid sprung up in the middle of my process making travel extremely difficult and made our process even longer because the embassy shut down completely except for emergencies. By the time my wife got here it was just over 2 years and we had 2 children already. So yes, I did go visit . While 2 years seems long you will get there and on the plus side if she enters 2 years and 1 day after your wedding, she gets her 10 yr green card which makes things way easier. So even if she were to get the visa at 1 year and 11 months, wait the extra month before she makes entry.
  6. Disregard this. It is not needed and you will go nuts trying to achieve a joint account. Same with property, you can't even own property there as a foreigner. Only worry about the last bullet point. Records of ongoing chat history etc. None of the rest is needed.
  7. It wasn't long ago that K-1s were not being processed at all only CR1 so I would not use what is currently happening as a guideline. CR1 is still far superior IMO.
  8. No problem Manila only. Is someone telling you that the immigration process is not difficult. Not sure where you thought that they make it easy for you. You will get it when you get it. No one can predict the future. They were pushing them through extremely fast then dropped to not for quite a few months. DCF is not an option and a rushed job offer is not a reason for expedite. This process takes a while...A LONG while. Any thoughts of thinking you can find a way to make faster or easier you need to throw out of your head as it only causes the process to be more frustrating and aggravating than it already is. Why? You can do it yourself. If you want to get an attorney be my guest. But people that come to and frequent this forum did it themselves for the most part.
  9. Wow that's a lot. I am sure that a lot of people will be on board with that.
  10. Hopefully this will help https://immigration.gov.ph/services/recognition-as-filipino-citizen/
  11. She may have and just doesn't remember or have records. Most immunizations happen earlier than you can remember. Unless maybe she lived deep in a province. My wife knows she had some but no records of it so she had to have them again.
  12. The reason that I asked if she has ever traveled internationally before is because it is not so easy for a young Filipina to even get past their own bureau of immigration to travel abroad so that would be your first hurdle. @top_secret explained it very well. I believe your best bet which would be hassle free and less risk is Palawan or some other PH destination. Philippines has some of the most beautiful places on earth. Once she has made it out with her K-1 visa you can start thinking about other destinations.
  13. Has she traveled internationally before?
  14. She stated that she has a certified copy of her divorce decree. The US Embassy recognizes that as not being married.
  15. Well we can agree to disagree on this one. I think that the US should not force you to abandon your birthright, culture and everything you know to become a citizen. The fact that the US allows you to re-acquire citizenship from another country and PH also allows it makes it not seem like a slap in the face. My biggest problem is getting my wife to go for US citizenship in the first place. She really wants no part of it. If she does, I would also have her re-acquire here PH citizenship. Our children are dual citizens and even though we will be moving to live in the Philippines in 2 years, she will most likely out live me and I want her to have all options open if one or both of our children decide that they want to move to America as adults.
  16. She can live here, be happy here, and still re-acquire her Philippine citizenship, if not for herself then for her kids. For my children one of the first things I did was get them dual citizenship so that for the rest of their life, they would have all options open to them.
  17. I left with my wife and 2 children a few years ago. I didn't really even think about that stuff. They told us where to go and what to do. We were never separated. It was like they had done this before.
  18. I don't know why you are so hung up on this. The immigration process is hard enough, you do not need to make it harder. You need to submit the PSA certificate. The PSA certificate is 2 pages. You will submit it as you received it and you will have no problems. Philippines is not great on accuracy. I would bet that 50% of birth certificates are wrong in some way or another, maybe more.
  19. Be careful of the they said culture in the Philippines. Always make sure who "they" are. I have always thought about writing a book titled "They Said". My wife just told me another good one the other day. They said if you take Midol that later you will not be able to get pregnant. There is a lot more where that came from.
  20. A marriage license and a marriage certificate are 2 different things. All that matters for immigration purposes is that you have a valid PSA marriage certificate. No one cares if you had a license or not.
  21. I just looked it up. I think you are worrying about nothing. All that matters is that you have a valid PSA marriage certificate which you do. What makes you believe this will be an issue?
  22. So what is article 34, or 24 that you mentioned earlier?
  23. So what is the discrepancy? Everything sounds normal to me. LCR sends the certificate to PSA. PSA certifies the original and enters it into the national record archives.
  24. Are you talking about your CEMAR or PSA Marriage Certificate? I am confused as to what you are asking?
