@Jabbie yes we all got the envelope and NO don't take it with u everywhere. Ur state or drivers lisence should suffice for regular everyday identification. If lost or stolen ur greencard cost over $600 to replace and it's also a long process. I would put it in the same place I put my passport, marriage n birth certificate n other important dox. Only take it out when necessary.

As a non-US citizen, you are legally required to carry your immigration documents with you. This day and age it's rare to absolutely have to carry the original, but at the very least make a copy and keep it in your wallet or digital copy and have it stored somewhere you can easily access if asked to by officials. Don't get caught up and have to spend hours while they clarify your status. But a driver license is not enough to prove immigration status. Now, how it plays out in the real world is different. But better safe than sorry considering you just became a permanent resident and all.

    Hi Jimjilbangbang and Calidanny,

My field office is Santa Ana as well! I am applying GCs for my parents and they just got their EAD and AP combo cards yesterday. Since 3/29, the online status was changed to "ready to schedule for an interview", but nothing so far. I have been wondering what's everyone else's schedule like with Santa Ana office. I will keep you posted if any updates.

I don't even have that update yet. Mine is still on fingerprint fee received!

Hey guys just a quick update.

My I485 still reads "fingerprint fee received." My PD is 12/15/2016.

This morning I spoke to a tier 2 immigration officer who confirmed that my case as actually moved to "Ready to be Scheduled for Interview" as of 1/27/2017.

I also raised a SR for my EAD two weeks ago and got a generic response. However, he said that I should receive it very soon. (Taken with a grain of salt).

Hopefully you get your EAD soon. I'm also stuck on fingerprint fee received. Pd 12/20. Hopefully it's ready to schedule and just not updated.

    Hey im from CA too..

By the way, i believe that the status "Card was mailed to me" is the final one after getting the EAD.

For your I-485, I just dunno why the status remained that way. Let's pray that you are eligible for an interview waiver. Or somehow, your case might be stuck in a background check.

Many possibilities.. one thing we have to do is to wait patiently.. ???

I am hoping for the best for all of us. More positive vibes and results..

Son of a gun. You are very correct sir. I could have sworn that my previous updates for documents from USCIS always updated to "document delivered". But I just went back to check my last one and you're right only the "document has been mailed" update showed.

And yes I'm kind of hoping I'm in a similar case to those whose online status never updated to "ready for interview". But you can never tell with USCIS. At least I have my EAD to work. Some others haven't even gotten that yet!

True, this is what I believe.

The update system on USCIS is not reliable I can tell maybe my card is not even produced lol am nervously joking about it...

I totally agree with this. I've had my EAD in hand for 3 weeks and the update still says that it's been mailed to me. Never been updated to "card has been delivered". My i485 has been stuck on fingerprint fee received since 12/20. Hopefully that's a glitch that it's stuck also and is ready for interview (just no date yet).

BTW hi guys. Dec filer from CA. not sure if this is the right thread for me. So many to choose from!! Going from DACA and applied thru my USC wife.
